Who is the second greatest singer in the world?

I really do not need to explain who is #1 on this forum's list.
So that leaves me with a very simple question...who is....THE SECOND
GREATEST SINGER
IN THE WORLD?
Yesterday, I came across Rolling Stone Magazine's "100 Greatest Singers of All Time". It was featured in the November 27, 2008 issue of Rolling Stone, so before Adam had become well known. RS had a panel of 179 experts rank the 100 top vocalists but these"experts" came up with a really odd list. The missing list includes Steve Perry and Ann Wilson.
Here are Rolling Stone's Top 10
1. Aretha Franklin
2. Ray Charles
3. Elvis Presley
4. Sam Cooke
5. John Lennon
6. Marvin Gaye
7. Bob Dylan
8. Otis Redding
9. Stevie Wonder
10. James Brown

Skipping around the web, I found dozens of lists of the top singers in the world. Most were just popularity contests and Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift were #1 on many lists. Michael Jackson is the favorite of many devoted fans. Chris Martin (Coldplay) claimed that Rihanna is 'the best singer in the world'.
Search around. There really is not a good list!
So we need to do it! So who else do you think belongs on our list?
