You guys know that for me the best singer, not counting Adam, is Elvis Presley. I love music but before Adam he was the only one who could melt me from the inside out. Glad to see someone mentioned Eva Cassidy. She was incredible.

Ah!!! I adore Buckley, Glampoon! I remember people comparing him to Adam:)))
My favourite Jeff's song ( it's not his, it's a cover), and if Adam ever covers it, I will positively die with bliss:

Ok so this is OT but I'm worried shitless about VIVLITE ? WHERE ARE YOU ? We've been PM'img everyday and now it's been a week since she responded ? Yes, that is odd. I hope she is fine and on vacation somewhere. But regular posters should let us know when they will be gone. It's very worrisome when we don't hear from them. Vivlite must be ok -she posted in Sauli Central 14 hours ago

They played Lilac Wine in the French movie "Tell No One" which is excellent, but made me so anxious I had to watch it in two parts. It streams on Netflix now. My fave song of Jeff's is Lover You Should Have Come Over. I'd love Adam to sing it. Funny, I just uploaded a video of Jeff singing Once I Was at the Tim Buckley tribute: Link isn't working. It's the last thing in the gallery on page 7. lilybop.smugmug.com/Other-17/GIFS-iHEART-MUSIC-FESTIVAL/32017678_pKRnqj#!i=2813581975&k=QHcWzmL

From Q3's headlines on p. 1
There are many singers who could be on this top 10 list, but Lennon and Dylan? Really? John Lennon always seemed fine and had a bland vocal quality, but I wouldn't call him a great singer. And Bob Dylan? Each to his own.
My nomination is known to much of Adam's fan base--Nikka Costa. I think she is a brilliant singer. Here is a live performance.

This probably won't be a popular choice, but I think Linda Ronstadt is an amazing singer and I was heartbroken to learn that she has Parkinson's and can't sing anymore. I think of her as a female Adam because she has a very strong voice, excellent control (listen to the note at about 1:22 in the video below), and versatility. She can sing soft and sweet or hard and gritty. She's done rock, pop, country, standards, Spanish songs, and Broadway. She also connects emotionally to the songs she sings, which is really important to me.

It is an extraordinary (and quite sad) story. Her version of OVer the Rainbow is also beautiful but she is probably best known for her version of Songbird - which was featured in movie Love Actually. I know Songbird within the context of the move -- Love Actually is on my "most watched" movie list. But I never focused on her.

I think Barbra Streisand is one of the best singers , I guess she wouldn't be part of a Rolling Stone list though..LOL
