Time for a group hug, I think.. Thank goodness everyone is OK..my hubby ate it on his motorcycle last summer. Cycle is totaled but he's alive, so we are all very fortunate. Now let's start saving some moola for NYC! WE CAN DO IT! Sheesh...I hope this happens. I just said today how much I wanted to visit NYC again. Sweet.

It's fun seeing all the places Adam goes in a week. This past few days have been busy with Fashion Week etc. They say Hollywood is a 'small' place and it seems the ties and connections between people are really interesting. At the Jazz event....the Glee connection with Cord O. (until now I didn't even realize his brother was Nash from the band), Lucy Hale from PLL, Paul from AI and on and on. I can't keep up with all his friends. He seems to really run in many different circles of people. Who are the two in the car from I guess last night where Adam is flashing the peace sign? (I don't know how to bring the photo here from earlier in the thread). Enjoy trying to keep it all straight....

Don't get me wrong, I didn't regret Vegas just as I have never regretted any time I have gone through great expense to see Adam. In fact, I was on the verge of canceling the entire trip because one month prior to the show, my DH was attacked by a neighbor in front of our home and was seriously injured/disabled (still is). Oh gah - one for you too........ Thanks so much, Hoppers. I needed that.

I think and the one in the back don't know.

I loved London -- and I expected to be disappointed by Las Vegas -- because we knew it would only be a 30 minute set and we knew that FUN. was going to be involved. But I was pleasantly surprised. I would fly there again and pay the same ridiculous amount of money to see and hear Adam sing WWTLF like that one more time. What crowd? What band? Honestly at that one moment, all I thought about and remember was Adam. And yes, there was one song without Adam and one with him taking half the lead (FBG), but it was really fun and the contrast just proved how great Adam was to all the Clear Channel people who were around me. Also, Nate Ruess got the crowd up and on their feet, clapping and singing along. So I thought it worked out pretty well. No it was not the same as the London shows. And if there is a full US Queenbert concert, it will be great and I hope to be there. But I am glad I went to Vegas. But he urged me to still go and not worry about him for 24 hours. And I'm definitely glad I got to witness that version of WWTLF live. I guess I was even more disappointed for Adam and Queen. I don't think they got the reception they deserved. The crowd seemed to love Elton (so I didn't think it was an age thing) and from videos of the next day's show, Paul seemed to get a great reception. I guess my initial thought was that maybe Queen didn't have as many fans in the US. I dunno. I just thought the crowd was dead. The people around me in my section definitely weren't into it, many left, and the people immediately behind us were drunk and spilled drinks on me and my sister. Even though I knew it wasn't London with die-hard Queen fans, I was just expecting a better reception for these legends. It seemed that other performers (Muse, Katy, FUN) were more excited for Queen (from their interviews) than the crowd was during the performance. Anyway, JMHO, YMMV. Yipes! Your DH was attacked! He must really be a great guy to encourage you to still go. Also sound like the crowd around you was not the nicest folks. I was near some nice people and one of the Clear Channel execs got security to move me way up for Adam (and Queen). So I was very lucky. Queen does not have as many fans in the US as either Elton John or Paul McCartney. But they were also on much later when people had been there for 5 hours. This was also an unusual event -- not a typical concert crowd. But a concert with 12 artists is going to be mixed to start with. The floor was filled with radio professionals and not fans. The people near me were actually far more into Queen than they were into many of the other artists. Muse was almost ignored. Certainly not a classic rock loving crowd -- it was mostly a current top 10 hits crowd. ETA: Glee promo video might break 10,000 likes!
