You can tell I'm stuck in front of my laptop; spamming a bit (for me). I was just clearing out my bookmarks and came across this one (still there of course) that seems a lot older than it really is. (March 2013) A blog review of FYE. It's a great read and also has a link to a review of IIHY. If you haven't read it before it's great fun (I have and it still is ) links are good!!Typically: "Which brings us to the Adam Lambert Conundrum: His public persona is relentlessly sweet and cheerful and non-threatening (the kid’s a hilarious charmball in interviews), and yet he’s a hugely polarizing figure, probably because he’s a wee bit sleazy (note: In my personal lexicon, “sleazy” is never an insult). It’s hard to think of any other well-raised, polite, musical theater-loving Jewish boy from suburban San Diego receiving the amount of vitriol Lambert gets heaped upon him from various corners of the internet. There are probably countless factors at work here, and I’m not qualified to parse them in depth, but I’d guess the bulk of the anti-Lambert sentiment stems from the combination of him: a) being openly gay, b) embracing camp, and c) giving every impression of really liking sex.
Bet you thought I was soft and sweet… Still do, Adam. Still do."
That last line is one of my personal favourites re Adam ETA: forgot the basics

Learning American Slang with Adam Lambert Songs!Published on Oct 20, 2013 www.vk.com/Philochk0 (Stavropol, Rostov-on-don, Moscow and Kaliningrad!) Philochko is a YouTube from New York and is a YouTube hit in Russia. He has 312 videos on his YouTube channel. That is so nice of this guy to explain American slang to non-native speakers. He explains the song title "Kickin' It" in detail. A couple commenters already told him that it is "Kickin' In." Too bad. As I think about it, "kickin' it" doesn't really fit the melody. The emphasis would be on "it" and don't people actually emphasize the 1st word KICKIN' it? The melody of the song emphasizes kickin' IN as the IN is a higher note.
