Winks, the only reason I would say your guess for Winstar might be slightly low is because it is NYE. I would guess 250K. Definitely not 500K. Winstar & the venue & the tickets prices are not big enough for that. However, last NYE at that exclusive resort in Bali? IMO, 500K is entirely possible. The Fountainbleu event probably has a high fee too. For one thing, it has sponsors!

There are degrees of Aspergers and Tourettes, as with all mental conditions, and judging by his participation on Idol, I imagine Durbin's case of each is minimal. Of course, that is a good excuse to fall back on when you have been ugly about someone. haha. If he is behaving now, perhaps he learned a valuable lesson early on about being gracious when navigating the rough waters of the entertainment field. And maybe his wife read him the riot act and told him to straighten himself up and button his lip. heh. But I watched all of Durbin's Idol season and his facial tics were bad. At times he could barely talk. He was excellent in that AMA vid with Lance. I do remember him saying in an interview that he rarely took his medication, so maybe that is the difference now. He might be actually taking his meds. He has a medical condition. His wife telling him to " be good" or "learning his lesson" probably has nothing to do with how well he can control it. I think it's entirely possible that Durbin exaggerated his symptoms on Idol to garner sympathy. JMO.

The Fountainbleu event probably has a high fee too. For one thing, it has sponsors! My guess -- Adam on NYE will be more than $250K -- that is what he got for Pittsburgh Pride. But that is for Adam and the band, and his tech crew. So not what Adam personally makes. Bali was certainly a lot more than $250K -- I think it was $500K ballpark. US artists usually get 2x for Asian concerts. It is hard to figure out what the Fontainebleu pays -- but this is probably a very good booking for Adam. And he is certainly getting more than The Band Perry got -- because that concert bundle was the same price and you got a suite vs. a deluxe room. -- The 2012 radio promo concerts were less -- the two I know were $75K and $95K plus expenses and accommodations -- including the band (no dancers). But those are usually at a substantial discount. ETA: On the James Durbin conversation, e clearly had a distinct tick on Idol -- particularly when he was stressed. I have mutual friends with him and they say he had Tourettes ticks long before Idol. A very large percentage of people with Tourettes also have ADHD, depression or other neurobehavioral issues. There is also a high incidence of Asperger's in people with Tourette syndrome. Often as people age, the ticks associated with Tourette syndrome become more easily controlled. If he was exaggerating his symptoms on Idol, or making it all up, he did a really good job making it all fit. I think it was real.

It's all dependent on the situation. Who was shopping (adam, the venue, both?) how much $$ on the table... all kinds of variables. Often there's a fee plus expenses scenario too. I can see a $200,000 fee, plus travel package. Transportation, lodging, etc. for 10 people. That could add up easily to a $250,000 fee package.

Well - if his wife insists that he take his meds, that could have a lot to do with his improved condition. It probably makes him a lot easier to be around as well. The change in a mental condition between no meds and meds can be dramatic. I have no idea about their relationship, but if she is responsible for his improved condition, good for her.

Adam was probably at Katy Perry's #WECANSURVIVE show last night. Katy Perry @katyperry 15h Tonight's official #WECANSURVIVE poster illustrated by @yaoxiaoart twitpic.com/dihw4a Angelica Chastang @gelchastang 2h Tonight Jessica Alba, Khloe Kardashian, Ashley Tisdale, Carly Rae Jepson, Adam Lambert, and Katy Perry's parents walked past me lol On another tangent...with all the talk about artists/salaries/Adam etc etc.... I look at this poster and I see 6 degrees of separation everywhere. Adam attends last night's function..he knows Katy and Bonnie McKee for sure... Tegan and Sara, obviously now know these women. T and S recently worked with Rob Cavallo, who worked with Adam on several FYE songs. T and S credit Rob with pushing them in a direction that has brought them critical acclaim and more solid playing for each new release on the airwaves here in Canada. They were a successful Indie band that have moved into mainstream. They attended the High School where I was an Asst. Principal (late 90's). I enjoyed hanging/supporting the drama dept and that is where I got to know them as they hung with some drama students and were close with the drama teacher. And, we had a broadcasting studio in the school where the girls recorded songs. (Although I did not know them well...the drama teacher introduced me when they had just entered a local Garage Warz competition...recording studio time was the prize.) They won the competition which was huge news in Calgary; they were two young singers strumming their guitars... competing against some pretty big local bands. That win propelled them into their career as singer songwriters. It has not always been easy...starting at 18...they did the touring in a van bit...small venues etc. Now is their time as 33 year olds! Been Happy for them for quite a while! Sound like anyone else we know...well actually like so many in the industry!! Takes time to make your mark. To top it all off...they opened for the band fun on their 2013 summer tour . Adam sang with fun. I bet/think Adam has met T and S...but not sure???? Maybe I will meet Adam someday. I was three feet from him and stared into his eyes all night ...that might be the closest I get! haha Anyway all these connections, just got me motivated to post. FYI edit: If interested ...Closer at the Hollywood Bowl www.youtube.com/watch?v=29Y6T_DUwk0

The AMA video was heavily edited. They may have done multiple takes in order to get shots of Durbin showing less symptoms. Idol was done live in one take except for the lead-in vids and Idol might have decided not to edit out his symptoms because it made a better story.
