I never saw the little blue "link" in your post, but now I've read your essay and I love every word of it! I love this paragraph: "It turned out I was declaring my small, personal victory all too soon; that is, I was counting my chickens before they were hatched, because Adam tweeted his rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Marry the Night’ and I watched my will and determination crumble into nothing after the first few tacts of the song. I knew it was his voice, I knew I loved it, but the instantaneous rush of adrenaline, (or is it serotonin?), the blood pounding in my ears, the strong and overwhelming feelings of affection and admiration, and the fact that I dropped everything I was doing at the moment in order to contemplate and analyze that phenomenon while listening to the song over and over again – well, it caught me a little by surprise."What can I say, his voice makes me lose my mind and post little blue links:) Thanks, love! |

Kamar: Next week the US will have changed timezones, and so it will be back to the usual timezone differences with EU. To the best of my knowledge, if the show is on at 9 pm in the US (East Coast), then that will be 3 am in central EU and should be 4 am for you, as well as Finland. So, either you plan on a all-nighter and party here in anticipation or you plan on getting up really early that Friday, I suppose. Always good to see you posting here and also seeing that you are doing alright or as good as can be for now. And glad you can join in next week.

Oh, lilybop... Perfect vid!!! I cannot tell you how HAPPY I get when we get NEW MUSIC!!!! That's what I live for! I don't much care about Halloween costumes and club pics... I see that the song was posted 4 days ago on soundcloud and has almost 60,000 plays. I wonder if he gave us the link because we somehow managed to miss it and others didn't, or it really got that many plays since he tweeted the link. It must be the latter, though, since the media would have picked it up if it had been posted sooner.

Marry the Night is perfect Agreed in total but in particular the "I'm a sinner" line is just gorgeous. It is gorgeous and my favorite 3 words in the whole song. In fact I love that whole line, "Gonna lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise, down the street that I love in my fish-net gloves" it's so Adam... and then he hits the sweet spot with "I'm a sinner". I've listened to it I don't know how many times...over and over...on the PC...on the phone...over the car stereo....it's one of those songs you can play on repeat and not get tired of it. And each time, my heart starts beating a little faster just before "I'm a sinner". |
