Heh heh. I can use pieces of ALL of these. Kidlet was indeed up (and down and up and down) most of the night. Today *was* an incredibly draining work day (laboratory real estate issues - if your projects were already funded this year you've got it; if not, you've lost it, no matter the status of proposals...its gotten brutal...some project leads are hysterical). [headbangs] PLUS methinks there's gonna be some massive berting today. :D I dunno... I guess I feel a bit annoyed when someone (probably single) unexpectedly arrives in town ON A WORK DAY and says, "Hey! Let's party!" You've got a full-time DEMANDING job, a hubby, and a small child (who's up and down all night), and it ain't Friday = you have to drag your butt into work tomorrow morning. If it were me, I'd just tell your single male friend: Sorry, honey... no can do. But I'm good to go on the weekend!"  |
