I was confused by so many posts when I knew nothing of import had happened! :D What a fun read to see how you all came up with your names. Mine has been the same since I got on the internet even before I was an Adam fan - back in Neanderthal times it seems to me now. Self explanatory. I've been a jazz fan all my life and discovered Rock later, so....JazzRocks. Cause it does!  |

Sorry, been at soccer games and wasn't able to tell my name story until now. S*&@^#r was the name of our sweet Golden Retriever. In 2005, we had to put him down. He was one month short of being 15. He was the dog all my kids grew up with. Letting him go was the hardest thing I've ever done. About that time I needed an on line name and MyS*&@^#r seemed perfect! |

rl seems to be kicking me all over the place lately but I have to just pop in on this name exposure question  I have been a feminist as long as the term has been around, I think, and for many years, the best way to quickly signify that was by using the honorific "Ms". My first name is Sue...but Mssue did not look quite right and when said together sounded more like a zzzz so I simply replaced the second S with a Z. I considered reversing the s and z but decided not to as for me, the Ms is more important than the Sue  . For a while I had a pf behind that but I dropped it somewhere along the line...it is still linked with the pf on the fan club site, as a remnant of that rounding up we did prior and as a part of this site's beginnings. Loving this discuss....good idea.... By the way...I was born and raised in Calgary so knew immediately what the Stamps stood for |

And since I am spamming away today... a little story about my 6 year old, who normally doesn't like any music apart from children's stuff and classical music (much to my frustration). I showed him Marry the Night this morning, and he was interested. Even said 'coooool' when he saw Adam dangling from the chandelier. And when I went to listen at his door after bedtime, because I could hear he hadn't gone to sleep yet, a little high voice was singing 'Ma ma ma marry ma ma ma marry..'

I finally get to tell a story about someone rediscovering Adam. I went out for dinner last night with a friend and mentioned how I had fun that day spending some time making a DVD for my brother--an AL DVD. Wasn't going to dwell on the topic, but it did give me a chance to "out" myself a bit by saying my brother was interested but doesn't do computers. Her response was "loved him on AI." But didn't know anything more than that, and, as it turns out, only saw a few AI performances. I jokingly said I have a couple extra DVDs that I made from my brother, so she came over to my house and we watched all the AI performances and judges comments. It was a riot--for me. She "oo'd" and "aw'd" in all the right places. She immediately remarked about how he thanked the musicians, how he's got the whole package--singing, fashion, stage presence--just minutes before Paula said the same thing about him marrying fashion, etc. Then she was worried that she was keeping me up too late, "but it is so good." I'm so glad to have someone to share this with. I was having a great time just seeing her reaction. We'll do the next DVD later, which is from the end of Idol to the AMA's. I also have the Kiev Queen concert. It will give us something fun to do together, instead of me sending her links. I'm in the middle of working on the next one, which is the FYE Era. So much stuff. I have most of my favorite performances and interviews downloaded to my computer. However, I went to my iTunes to get the 3 official videos for the singles and couldn't find a trace of them. I bought them and don't know where they went. I've had to change computers a few times and had some struggles with my backup for iTunes, so they must have disappeared that way. Now I can't even find FYE, WWFM, and IIHY videos on the iTunes Store. I downloaded the Vevo versions, but the quality is not the best. Anyone know how I can get the original good quality ones?I loved the story! ![]() |
