Babs-One of many nicknames given to me as I was growing up. And since Babs was taken when I registered at MJ's, my first forum, added the 12. Q3 remembered me from there when I moved to PF so it just stuck. Not very creative but short and easy to remember and I think I am the only Babs on this board.
Mostly a lurker, but here to visit daily. Thanks to you all who share your videos, pictures, updates and comments. Looking forward to seeing Adam at Winstar on NYE. San Diego was too many months ago.

Hello all! Real life has been so busy of late I have had little time to visit, but so many of you have asked me to ask my husband questions about who Adam was with in Venice. My husband is a casual fan and was honestly completely surprised to randomly run into Adam on a quiet morning on the beach! He was largely thinking of the great story he'd have to tell me. He mainly registered how handsome Adam looks naturally early in the morning without even trying, how tall and extremely thin he is, how much charisma pours from him and how cool his hair is, lol. He also liked his maroon pants as he has a pair almost just like them. As far as the friend, my husband's eye was so drawn to Adam that he didn't pay much attention to the other guy. I guess I can understand that. I've been there before.
Love to all of you! Off to see my son's show in L.A. at the Wiltern with all the hipster kids, lol.

Blatantly obvious and ordinary explanation for 'momtomany'!
Because, well, I am mom to many . . . boys! Five sons.
Lucky me, I now have three 'daughters', two granddaughters, two grandsons, and another on the way.
Through the years, I've also 'mothered' numerous guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, goldfish, white mice, ducks, a snake, a bird who came to us by default and has now been part of the family for 24 years (!!), five wonderful, blessed dogs (one with only three legs, that my Uncle named 'Tripod') and two cats.
On special days, like Thanksgiving, when our home fills with the friends of my children, I feel like a ridiculous mother to each and every one. They still love me, even when I dance, pretending like I know how to do it; beat them at Trivial Pursuit (they swear I read the answers . . . yeah, like I have time for that!); and joyfully and shamelessly sing 'walk that walk like you don't give a fuck' along to my favorite CD while serving pumpkin pie for dessert.
I'm so grateful for all the opportunities Adam (with fathomless brilliance!) has presented to me. Memories of meeting many of you at concerts around the globe; after-concert parties back at our hotel rooms; travels and dinners and this inexplicable, ecstatic understanding and awareness of what I can feel, and know, and experience.
Without Adamtopia, I wouldn't know how unique we are. I wouldn't have new friends in Serbia or South Africa or Germany or New Zealand, or Ohio or Nebraska - - or even across town.
Today is an affirmation of the reason why I keep coming back.
You!

I've enjoyed reading about name origins! I posted at the pink place during Adam's season under a different name. As many of you may remember, it was announced numerous times that it was not an Adam Lambert fan site and we'd be better served if we found one. There were a several things that made me angry during the season and especially during the Idol tour, and when I had reached my breaking point, I left and started posting in the Adam thread at IDF under the name agnelle. I wanted my name to pertain to Adam but not be obvious. Although I don't speak French, I love the language. I looked up "lamb" in French, and the female form "ewe" is "agnelle". For fun, I just looked up my pink place name and found my review of the Idol Sacramento concert. I've cut and pasted my partial review (the Adam part) below. Note, I was completely immobilized following the concert and didn't pull it together to post a review from the nosebleeds until the next day. "Immediately following Danny's last song and mega appreciation, the stomping began. And, then, 5-4-3-2-1 A-D-A-M, Adam exploded out onto the stage with WLL, and my spontaneous screaming began. I'm almost embarrassed this morning because as I said before, I'm not a screamer, but it was Adam, and he was living up to all my expectations and then some. What I have always loved first and foremost is his amazing voice. Yes, he's gorgeous and sexy and sometimes I join in making comments on this blog for fun, but it has truly been and remains all about his incredible voice and performance skills for me. I do think he has the ability to make others feel sexy, but it isn't necessarily directed back at him or anyone else for that matter. It just is. But, I must admit I caught myself melting and swooning during Starlight and Mad World. I think my lips were moving along to the songs. I wanted to close my eyes breath those two songs in but I didn't want to miss one second of the performance. My own inner slinky awakened during the Bowie medley. I loved it all. It went by quickly and seemed like a dream. It still seems that way this morning. I will be going to his first concert, and I will have better seats. My daughter loved him too, and I have no doubt she was being honest because she screamed too."
