Happy Birthday!!! Cheers!
Your names sparked me to think....( )
Someday we should ask/share about the concept of the "names" we have chosen. This will probably be a slow day, so it seems like as good a day as any to say how we chose our posting names. Are you a stamp collector? My posting name is a blend of my cats' names. Well murly and mys*&@^#r...I guess today might be the day... Come on mys*&@^#r50 what is your "origin"? I will tell ...now your turn. stampsgal...I had to think of something I would remember as I did not realize at the time just how often it would show up on the first site I joined...ie like every post. haha. The Calgary Stampeders is the local professional football team of which I have been attending since FOREVER!!!(Canadian Football League...like the NFL in the US) The team was ravaged by injuries in a meaningless last game of the regular season. Tomorrow they advance into the west semi-finals...against a team that will be tough to beat now. The Grey Cup (final) is only a game away, There is a blizzard today...storm warnings etc. Who knows what the conditions will be like tomorrow....as it is an outdoor stadium. I will be there with snow gear on! GO STAMPS GO!

augenpoesie is an easy one to explain, because it means translated into english "eye-poetry" or "poetry for the eyes". so that became my "brand". Beautiful...the connotation to your work is even more meaningful to me now!

I chose my name because I first glimpsed AFL when he was singing I Can't Get No Satisfaction on Idol. I thought to myself, "this guy could keep me totally satisfied". Needless to say, he has.

My name origin is boring. My initials are CAS, so, cassie became a nickname somewhere along the way. It was also the name of a very special dog I rescued years ago (with the name "cassie" how could I refuse to adopt her?).

It is interesting to read how you chose your mailing name! I also wanted a name that I think would describe me, and when I heard the Queen's "The Show Must Go On"- lyrics "My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies", I knew immediately that here it is: butterfly!

I live in the country. Closest town of any size is about 13 miles and that's not saying much. Closest big city is Nashville about 85 miles away so hence justsouthofnowhere

Well, the origin for the "bert" part of my name is obvious. The "hari" is for George Harrison, my favorite Beatle and guitarist. Their musical and spiritual lights enlighten, inspire, and entertain me, and have led me to become a more caring and spiritual person.
