This will probably be a slow day, so it seems like as good a day as any to say how we chose our posting names. Are you a stamp collector? My posting name is a blend of my cats' names. Murphy was my sweet little girl who died three years ago, and Molly is my beautiful older cat who still gives me a lot of joy. Mur-ly. I feel kind of bad that my name doesn't reflect the existence of my new little sweetheart, Emmy, but I've been Murly so long on so many sites that I can't change it now. I like to think Emmy understands. Mine is the name of my kitty who has since died after 17 years together and the number on my library card. I used to have a cat named Benchley (after the humorist Robert Benchley) and when a co-worker got a cat and asked for name suggestions, I said "Benchley." She misunderstood and named her cat Bentley. I always thought if I got another male cat, I'd name him Bentley, but I always seem to end up with female cats.

I finally get to tell a story about someone rediscovering Adam. I went out for dinner last night with a friend and mentioned how I had fun that day spending some time making a DVD for my brother--an AL DVD. Wasn't going to dwell on the topic, but it did give me a chance to "out" myself a bit by saying my brother was interested but doesn't do computers. Her response was "loved him on AI." But didn't know anything more than that, and, as it turns out, only saw a few AI performances. I jokingly said I have a couple extra DVDs that I made from my brother, so she came over to my house and we watched all the AI performances and judges comments. It was a riot--for me. She "oo'd" and "aw'd" in all the right places. She immediately remarked about how he thanked the musicians, how he's got the whole package--singing, fashion, stage presence--just minutes before Paula said the same thing about him marrying fashion, etc. Then she was worried that she was keeping me up too late, "but it is so good." I'm so glad to have someone to share this with.
I was having a great time just seeing her reaction. We'll do the next DVD later, which is from the end of Idol to the AMA's. I also have the Kiev Queen concert. It will give us something fun to do together, instead of me sending her links. I'm in the middle of working on the next one, which is the FYE Era. So much stuff. I have most of my favorite performances and interviews downloaded to my computer. However, I went to my iTunes to get the 3 official videos for the singles and couldn't find a trace of them. I bought them and don't know where they went. I've had to change computers a few times and had some struggles with my backup for iTunes, so they must have disappeared that way.
Now I can't even find FYE, WWFM, and IIHY videos on the iTunes Store. I downloaded the Vevo versions, but the quality is not the best. Anyone know how I can get the original good quality ones?

I wanted to use a name different from the one I've used in a lot of other places likeTwitter, Instagram, etc., in case of snooping by DH... Csquared is a play on my initials. I'm not a math geek!

Your names sparked me to think....( )
Someday we should ask/share about the concept of the "names" we have chosen. [grins] Well, enough people have probably heard this, but sure! HoppersSkippersMiners is a throwback to the first summer I was hired as a research assistant as an undergrad. It was with the Entomology Department (i.e. "bugs"), and while the main project was with a butterfly called a Silver Spotted Skipper, we were also dealing with Marsh Hoppers and Locust Leaf Miners. After that summer I SWORE I would NEVER work with butterflies again!! And, lo, my eventual specialties had not a thing to do with them. [evil grin]. That said, I still have a fondness for all. Here are my critters: A skipper A hopper Miners, doing what miners do best.......

I just went into the ITunes store and all of Adam's videos are there. I'm on my iPhone -- I searched for Adam, clicked on music videos and they all came up. So, just want to reassure you that none of Adam's work has been removed from ITunes.

JohnJacobJingleheimerSchmidt wouldn't fit, so I used the name of one of my cats from awhile back.

I wish Q3 meant something poetic like moon! Q is the first letter on the keyboard, 3 is my favorite number, and I wanted a short ID. I only planned to use it for a couple of days! (Q3 is over 4 years old!) Sometimes it is too short or taken and I have to be Quu3. ETA: And I do not own a cat.
