It’s been a great year – so far. I started to think about the whirlwind of a year it has been and thought I would start my list of great Adam moments.

There are a couple of highlights that almost made my list but there was not room. The first was Adam performing on Broadway on June 23 when he did a surprise performance of The Star Spangled Banner at the Broadway Cares charity event. And the second was the 2013 Home Town Concert (July 02) in Del Mar, California, at San Diego County Fair/Del Mar Fairgrounds which was the happiest I have ever seen Adam.

10. Halloween!

Halloween is not just on October 31st in Adam’s world. It is a week-long celebration with four different costumes (included this year’s vampire costume) culminating with Adam co-hosting a private party at Boosty Bellows.








This is not technically a Halloween costume but this costume is from “Spell Block Tango” by Todrick Hall which was released on Oct 28, 2013.



9. Fashion Forward!

From his June 10 appear with Joan Rivers Fashion Police on E! to his impeccable looks on Red Carpets to LA Fashion Week. This was the year that Adam became truly established as a fashion icon.




8. The Life Ball and “Love Wins Over Glamour”

May 25: Adam performed during the opening ceremony of the Life Ball AIDS Solidarity Gala 2013 at the Hofburg Palace and the Vienna City Hall.

7. Adam at the VMA’s!

August 25: Adam was a presenter at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.






6. Adam + Nile + AVICII

In late April Adam record a track with Nile Rodgers. The track, “Lay Me Down” in released on September 13 – 18 on Avicii’s album “True”. Nile gets Adam to attend and perform at two benefit concerts: January 31 We Are Family Foundation benefit at the Manhattan center’s Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City where Adam was presented with the Unity Award, and August 19 Benefit Concert for AFTEE at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, NY. Following the AFTEE concert, Adam, Nile and AVICII worked on some new songs for AVICII’s second album. The three artists also worked with Mystery Skulls on a track for his debut album.




5. Adam in China

Even Adam seemed surprised by the enthusiastic response he got in China. And in the first half of 2013, Adam fans around the world connected with fans in China to keep up with Adam’s latest TV show, magazine appearance and performance. He also snagged some sponsorships in China. March 01: China. Adam becomes a spokesperson for Shanda Games, RIFT: Planes of Telara, the 3D MMORPG. May 18: He performed and was interviewed on Chinese Idol (taped on April 22). April 18: Adam performanced on Star TV’s 17th China Music Awards/Global Mandarin Chart Awards in Macau, China and won the “Most Popular International Artist” award.






4. Winning the GLAAD Davidson/Valentini Award

May 11 at The 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Fransisco at the Hilton San Francisco, Union Square. Adam received the Davidson/Valentini Award which is presented to an openly LGBT individual who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the LGBT community. This was the biggest highlight of a year that saw Adam be broadly recognized for his efforts on behalf of the LGBT community -- to build understanding, pride and work for equality. Other highlights included: April 14 Miami Beach, Florida. presented Adam with the key. May 30-31 The City of Los Angeles honored Adam with the Hope of Los Angeles award. June 15 Pittsburgh, PA declares “Adam Lambert Day” and Adam performed at Pittsburgh Pride, Pride in the Street. July 03 Adam performed at a concert in Hollywood, California as part of his participation in the AT&T Live Proud Campaign.

3. We Are Glamily Tour

In February and March Adam Adam and the band did a 16-concert tour taking them to South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and ending in Finland. The typical setlist included 17 to 18 songs from Trespassing, FYE and a couple covers – “Shout” [Tears for Fears] and “Dragon Attack” [Queen]. He closed the tour on March 22 at the Hartwall Arena in Heilsinki, Finland with a 21-song setlist.

2. Queen + Adam Lambert at the iHeartRadio Music Festival

Queen + Adam Lambert performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival and closed the concert on Friday September 20 at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fun. joins the band for two songs. The performance blows everyone away and is featured on both the September 30 and October 1 TV highlights specials on the CW Network. One highlight was Adam and Queen’s performance of “Who Wants to Live Forever”.




1. Adam joins the cast of Glee. Adam appears on Glee as Starchild/Elliott

It was a perfect – The two sides of his character, Starchild’s outfit, the knockout performance of “Mary the Night”, the diner scene with Kurt, the promo (The Ellen Show. On Air with Ryan Seacrest. ET, Canada ET, and more) and the great response from viewers and reviewers! And it is just the beginning! One big highlight was Starchild’s audition – what Rolling Stone described as “Starchild attacks Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night" and makes it his own. The scene is basically a four-minute music video for Lambert where he struts, pouts, poses and literally swings from a chandelier. Lady who?”
