"Come on in the water's fine", they said. "There's plenty of company to splash around with here in the shallow end", they said. They were RIGHT! Thank you for making me feel so welcome when I finally decided to test the waters. Haha. Why was I so *skerd*?
[laughs warmly] [squishes you] So good to see you posting, bb!

My son is a video game producer. He was producing the Idol game for cell phones at the time, working with Freemantle, thru EA. That's how I was able to go! Finale tickets were almost impossible to get that year! There was a preparty for VIP ticket holders. This Gold ticket was a Photo Op with the Idol audition background! I also have a pic of me with a lifesize Adam cardboard cutout, but haven't found it yet! :(

[evil grin] Now that we've gone forward in time and Adam has truly become Queen's go-to lead singer, in retrospect, how was that very first Queen w/ Adam performance?

My personal favorite moment was the Universal Orlando performance. My goal was to hear Adam so at the sound check I found the perfect spot just outside the fenced in area directly across from the stage and between the two hugh speakers. There was no screaming fans (that 's not to say people weren't cheering for him, they were, just not in a manic way, except for me) and no speaker distortion, just his beautiful voice. OMG I was blown away by the beauty of his voice; it was so rich and full and powerful. Even my DD kept saying she couldn't believe how beautiful his voice was. Being in the back, it was wonderful to see how mesmerized people were. No one left, literally, people stayed until his last note. To me, this performance was a sea change moment for Adam. It was obvious he was happy. It was like someone had given him a great gift. I have seen him perform before but they were nothing like this. Anyway, that was my favorite moment. The RCA break was a giant moment. I have to agree this was so amazing watching sound check this was my favorite because the sound was great and watching him on the stage listening to the band then singing full on. Those little red tickets were priceless as we did not want to sit in the sun all day and 5 minutes before the show we just walked up to the front showed the ticket and we were about 20 people in front of us in the center looking into Adam's beautiful face We did get closer towards the end of the night. Sound was perfect. Looking back behind us was amazing so many people watching the show. I think my name is pretty easy glam for glambert tea lady because I love having English style tea at my house.

Milliemom, you are so right about Adam needing his own TV Show because he just explodes on the screen as proven by the army of rabid fans that he got from his appearance on Idol that was hooked enough to still be passionate five years later. Michael Slezak called him a "Tornado of Charisma" in his recent Glee review, and it certainly was a spot-on label. I picture a show with a mix of comedy, music performance and fashion a little like the old Sonny and Cher show, but updated and with some interviews thrown in.
