Holst, you are right. I am a groupie of a different sort. With the digital age, I guess I am only missing sneaking back stage and attacking my idol (for all the good it would do me).

Hey darlings I did a thing Rushed it out a bit so the timing could be better in places but whatever I think it's cool la la Me Likey. Side note: never ceases to amaze me when you hear Adam's voice stacked up next to some of the supposed best voices in pop (Nate Russ; Gaga ...) how dramatic the difference is. I know I get "used" to hearing Adam and don't really think about it til you hear something like this. I love it!!!!!! Yes, we now need a live duet. But Adam interpretation is way superior. At least for me ;-)

Both DMG and Shosh came in at the mid point of Trespassing production. I am sure it was a huge transition. Plus, Adam was still with 19R and we have no idea how much control they had. I am niot expecting miracles but with NO 19 in the picture, a new label, and what I gave seen DMG and Shosh do the past year, I am hopeful. It all still depends on a great lead single. So out of all those things, I'd say a supportive label is the most important! No more repeats of the best singles not being sent to radio! Fingers crossed!! Plus a good marketing campaign is usually long, hits target markets and relies on many not one media outlets. In all likely hood research has shown them they need to do some target marketing to the gay community thus articles. also they need to increase fan base to those fans that historical buy music or influence music buying thus here comes Glee. What I see happening is a mutli front campaign intended to make Brand Adam. I agree with mys*&@^#r in that I think both DMG and Shosh were ham strung by previous unnamed label and it does take time to do what they are doing. Trial and error sometimes but I see more success than error. I can't imagine his current team gathering opinions on what single to release and not following through because of other commitments to other artist (and yes I am talking Bruno Mars here), or what some suit envisions but releasing Adam penned music that Adam KNOWS will hit.

Y'all can do what you would like but it seems like any worrying about #3 is really premature. We know nothing about a label and zip about his creative direction so at this point I plan to remain quite zen.

Whatever Adam does, the focus on the gay community will almost certainly continue. Most importantly, Adam is personally committed to Marriage Equality and LGBT acceptance. The best estimate that I have seen is that self-identified LGBT consumers represent a disproportionately high 12% of US music sales. It is a large market segment that can be efficiently and effectively targeted. Because 19M decided to avoid the gay media in 2009, Adam/DMG/Shosh had a lot of bridges to build. Now he will be able to leverage these relationships when he releases his next album. And while this is a valuable market, it is authentic and what Adam wants so I doubt it will go away.
