When I said I thought Shoshanna needed to get Adam in more mainstream publications, I didn't mean that she should discontinue getting him in gay ones. One PR outlet should not exclude the other. It's just that when stories on Adam ONLY appear in gay magazines, it diminishes him as a celebrity and entertainment personality. YES, the gay audience is important for any entertainer, except perhaps those selling to a christian fundamentalist niche. But gay people need to see Adam as someone successful in mainstream entertainment. I find it continually disappointing to read the opening pages of PEOPLE magazine (where the celebrity news/photos of the week appear) and never see a picture of Adam (whether it is theVideo Music Awards, the iHeart Music festival, GLEE). I know we see his pictures on Just Jared, Socialitelife, and other websites. But almost never do pictures appear in print media, which is still an important source of celebrity news. I think this is a reflection of discomfort with gay men. The People type magazines (US, OK, etc) focus on celebrity private lives (dating, engagements,marriages, babies, etc.). So maybe the celebrity news mags don't know what to do with someone like Adam. But at least when he appears at a major party/entertainment event, they could have a picture. Most people don't know what Adam is up to, because these publications almost completely ignore him.![]() This is something I have been annoyed about for a long time. Also, there have been stories online from ET or Access with Adam's name in the headline. I expect that he will also be mentioned on TV, but there he is excluded.  |

I agree, and am wholeheartedly hoping that this lack of notice in print media changes in this next era. He's already starting to show up a bit because of Glee.
