I greatly appreciate the forum Q3 has created here. I have made wonderful friends, enjoyed lively discussions, laughed and cried with members, learned new things, improved my computer knowledge, and am assured that I will always know the very latest Adam news.
I have also been bored with some discussions, totally uninterested in others, cringed at a few topics, thought some comments were vulgar, and shaken my head at the inane goings on.
Some days I scroll for page after page. Some days I give up on the thread and come back later. Some days I start writing a scathing, ranting, biting response to a perceived insult or slam..... but I usually am able to hit the "delete" button and go do something in real life to give me perspective before posting something I will absolutely regret and that could get me kicked off the site.
I think it is wise advice to keep in mind who might be reading this forum - not only members, but guests. To keep in mind that we are international, multi-lingual, multi-cultural, multi-generational, and of widely diverse sexual orientations/experiences. When in doubt, it is smart to go for positive and supportive, and to assume the best of other posters. When I can't, it is probably time to go do something else for a while.
But, I always come back. Cuz, 90% of the time I luuuv this place and these people. I am not sure my family would get a similarly high positive rating, to be honest. So, thank you Q3, and all the many members for this wonderful site.
Now, back to the shallow end. Does the video to Sauli mean that we will see no cinnamon/ginger hair tonight? Rats! I was looking forward to that.

I truly hope Adam's fan, the doll costume designer, doesn't visit here. What a punch in the stomach it would be to read that your work is creepy. Edit : Really must learn to read to end of the thread before responding. I love how Q3 expresses the philosophy of this site, and how it's run. One of the reasons I am mostly a lurker is the whole idea of what is strange/creepy vs. appropriate in a fandom. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. I do find that being part of a fandom can bring out the crazy in someone who is otherwise sane. For example, the idea of following and adoring boyfriends of Adam's seems creepy to me. But many do. So I try not to judge and scroll by. During the last romance/breakup I avoided it as much as possible. Different strokes.

I loved happy Adam because for a time he was in love and content. Anyone that makes our Adam happy and loved is okay with me. According to Adam Sauli has a big heart and a lot of character. What is not to love about Sauli? He will always be part of Adam's life. They may be ex's but they have a deep friendship that looks like it will survive a breakup. This makes me very happy. Just one of the reasons I happen to love and follow Sauli. |
