I just felt that skylar's comment--"Adore Adam but find this unworthy of the intelligence and talent of the man"--was overthinking the situation a bit. I couldn't figure out what Adam's talent and intelligence had to do with sucking in his cheeks for a picture. Guess you haven't seen Zoolander. Obviously, there ISN'T a correlation between model faces and low IQ but Ben Stiller has done a real number on those poses. No overthinking required:

Adam has a great sense of humor .. maybe ,just maybe, he's doing a Zoolander. Think of how often he is photographed.. First the mouth agape ,now this.. Just may be funny Adam.. whatever I LOVE him any way I can get him..

What is a "real dark force"? A hidden force? I believe working with an astrophysicist might have influenced Roger somewhat You might have heard of "Dark Matter" which is invisible, but probably constitutes the majority of what the Universe is made of, and "Dark Energy" which appears to be causing the Universe to expand faster and faster. Also, in a funny coincidence, "dark force" might be affecting the "creation of stars" and galaxies we see... Here is just one of many articles talking about "an unknown force acting on dark matter". www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2013/07/is-an-unknown-force-of-the-universe-acting-on-dark-matter.htmlI guess Roges is trying to say that Adam is a rather unknown, but potentially universe-shaping force. Or as Nile said "someday the world will understand". Thank you. I get it! All I can say is that this analogy finally helps me understand dark matter!

I guess someone is looking after me. I clicked on the Katy Perry video and it said it was blocked for copyright reasons. My ears have been saved from bleeding.
As to the comment that there is more to live singing than a good voice, I agree 100%. For me, MY OPINION ONLY NOT TRYING TO ARGUE WITH ANYONE ELSE'S PERSPECTIVE, a great voice alone does not make a great live performer. But, without a good voice capable of performing live, consistently and in tune, the rest of the bells, whistles, stage presence, emotional intensity, audience rapport, sense of fun, sexuality, great dancing, and ability to simultaneously make baked alaska is not enough. For me, I have to be listening to a good voice. It does not have to be at Adam's level, but, if I cringe, even once, that's pretty much it for me. Sorta like when I am eating fish. If I find just one pin bone in my mouth that gets stuck in my throat, I don't care if I am at a 5 star restaurant, and the meal cost $500. I am done.

Come on give KP some credit shes not the strongest live vocalist, but thats not what shes about. If your comparing her to Adam or even Gaga whos a comparitively stronger vocalist techniquley. But KP has a pretty tone and resonance to her voice, she displays tons of energy, just saying their other aspects to consider when it comes to live performances other then great vocals. I am a Katy Perry fan and she is much better usually always than the X-Factor UK performance. Her concerts are def worth the price of admission. But this performance should come with a warning! The song is very difficult to sing and really is a good case for lipsyncing TV performances.

Oh yeah I agree I think her voice shows more elasticity when she sings less vocally demanding songs like Teenage Dream or Roar haha.
