I wouldn't expect an ill quarterback, ballerina, chef, accountant, etc.etc. to be at the top of their game. Same goes for a singer. I'm cutting KP a break. I love her - and her singing. Everyone has an off day now and then. I give her credit for performing. Go Girl! Sorry but this is not the first time.

That pole has been there for quite a while...why are we going after it all over a sudden? To reaffirm the interest for 2014 How do you get to vote on the poll? The link just took me to the results.

Or a Quarterback to accurately throw the ball to his receivers? Or a chef to use the proper amount of salt, sugar and spices in a dish? Or a tax accountant to accurately complete your tax returns? Or a cashier to ring up the proper amount of your purchases? It is the basic requirement for the job, right? Not only would a singer who cannot sing on pitch consistently not make it into the top ten on a TV reality singing competition, they would not make it in my high school concert choir, much less be chosen to sing a solo. INHO well, ladies, I just want to share something I learned here: the most important skill for a singer is to write his/hers own songs... the rest doesn't matter cause everyone can sing... In the real world none of that matters. Music is very subjective and not everyone likes a technically skilled singer because it just doesn't feel real to them. Hitting the right notes is fine but I don't think it matters. Artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna never claim to be great singers but yet they keep getting those #1 hits because they found an audience that connects with them. Music is about connection. I don't think it's fair to expect them to be perfect singers. Some people say Adele is a great singer but I can't stand her voice. The same is said about Adam. Most people think he's a great singer but some still hate his voice. Bottom line it's about making music that connects with people.

Skylar, I can understand your frustration with the funky faces, my granddaughter and her friends have been making ducklips and other goofy faces lately. She is a beautiful girl and when she sends me those pictures I cringe a little. I asked her why she was doing it and she said she was bored of just smiling... so...goofy faces. With i-phones and instagram and i-pads, etc kids are taking so many pictures now they're just trying to change it up. I imagine that is the same with Adam. Hopefully, he and she will get bored of the goofy faces soon. But, if not, I'm just glad to get pictures.

She entertains me and makes me happy. That's what counts for me. I don't expect her to be Adam with his incredible voice. She is Katy. Good enough for this fan - and millions of others too.
