What a rocking opening line! It is a great line because it was lifted right off the TALC YouTube video descriptions. See my comment about this on page 5. It is lifted verbatim from TALC.

I often read "Best concert EVAH" posted on this site - and it is true. Every concert is so different, and each one presents some new aspect of Adam's talent and mind-set. I love reading all the comments, especially those who experience Adam for the first time... always reminds me of my first time and how I was so blown away.
As for "Red House" - well, that was something else! I have this old tattered book that I inherited from my mother years ago called "The American Song Bag" compiled by Carl Sandburg which includes very old blues whether to be sung by a man or a woman. The blues can dig so deeply into our souls and lives - and we can all relate to the blues at some point in our lives. It's definitely not some superficial pop thing.
In following today's thread - I agree that Adam should not open for anyone. He is way too unique. How can anyone, no matter how big or popular a star, follow Adam? Adam's journey is different, and it's interesting for us as fans to discover what's next for him. He's definitely not tied to any one genre.
And -- a happy New Year to all on Atopia! I'm sure more surprises will be in store for us this year

I always like to point out that I know nothing about the music business before I opine, but I think that being seen as a 'Star" has been important to Adam's very successful career, a career that has outshone his sales record to a degree that I find interesting. I think the fact that he doesn't open for others, but can bring in respectable crowds on his own is an important part of his star persona. Having a successful tour right out the gate was extremely valuable for his image. Opening for another artist would be a step backwards IMO. Now the media often treats him like a peer to Katy, Miley, etc. Look at how his attendance at Britney's Vegas opening, called an "A" list star along with this likes of Katy.

I speak only for myself, but I don't care if Adam tours as an opening act for a superstar ( a la Katy Perry); a mid size solo tour or even a small club tour...I just want him to release a new album under a new label and start TOURING and performing new music. Adam Is a performer; it must be very hard for to go through long stretches of time without performing. Writing and recording are part of his job, but I think singing his face off in front of an audience is what feeds his soul. lol, and mine too! haha! such an old topic and finally I see a "new" opinion! usually everyone falls on "ay" or "nay" lines . Thank you, Avari for putting a smile on my face! I am a staunch defender of a big fat "NAY" re opening for anyone! If nothing else I really mind paying a substantial amount for some big name (that most probably can't sing), knowing my money and my attendance are not attributed to Adam. At this point in his career I just can't see him going for an opening act anyway, so no worries here... He does need a label invested in his project - that's for sure!

Can't imagine Adam opening. He hasn't since his career began. It's kind of like putting Baby in the corner and no one puts Baby in the corner. Thanks for finding it so quickly! Love this group. Everyone is right on their game.

Thinking a lot today of how Adam impacts people just by the way he leads his life, made me think of this quote:
