Does anyone know if Adam is still scheduled to perform at Ty Taylor's tribute concert on Sunday?

I guess I'm not seeing the "A list" thing yet. Sure, he gets reported about online a lot. But, the mainstream media still does not include him with the likes of Katy Perry, Adam Levine, etc. I see a pic of him online from the Spears opening, but not a mention (or pic) in a mainstream mag like People. I honestly don't see how opening for someone huge on a limited basis would hurt his image at all. He has virtually no radio presence, what could it hurt?
Not a big deal, though, really. A couple radio hits could get him there. Hopefully, this time his label will get it done.
eta---Having said all this, Glee is an incredible gig for him. Hope to see more of these high profile things this year
Since I am a card carrying member of the Glamnation, I read every obscure blog that mentions Adam so am probably getting a skewed view of his star status. Not that online sources are not important when more Americans get their news online than from print. TV is number one still, but online is growing fast especially for young people. I do think that his stint on Glee was treated on par with Demi's in some more mainstream sources? Can't back that up, more an impression. In my uneducated opinion, opening for a high profile act when you have been in the business for several years says you need help in building a fan base. Luckily Adam has other opportunities like Glee and maybe a Queen mini tour to build his fan base. For example, this week Adam was on CW again slaying Queen songs with the re-airing iHeart concert which must have sparked some interest. Adam does his part my grabbing these opportunities and preforming fabulously. Hoping that the new label will do a much better job with new album, they couldn't do much worse. Well, he does need help in building a fan base. I think everyone can agree on that. There's no shame there---it is the whole point of people taking judging gigs on shows like Idol or appearing on TV shows. He needs to build his base, and especially his younger demographic. I am sure that some of the appeal in taking on the role on Glee was the exposure he would get to a whole new audience.
eta---I am not saying he should rush out and look for some pop act to open for. I am just saying that I don't see anything wrong with being open to opening for a huge act like Katy Perry on a limited basis if the opportunity arose. I don't see how it would be at all "damaging" to his career or image at this point.

This photographer, Danniel McKnight, was sitting next to me in AA 7 with her big camera with the long lens. Security never once approached her. She gave me her business card afterwards and told me she had about 1,000 pics that she would go thru and post the best of, but might take a few days. The guy in the center of the above pic with the top hat was sitting right in front of her in the high roller seats. Other than dodging his hat when he would stand up, she had an obstructed view of Adam....so hopefully more quality pics are coming. I thought it was her in your recap! Really anxious to see her pics!!

Bullsfan, I see this point of view, and can agree with it if the star was really huge and it was very limited. Probably not going to happen in any case. He and his management have been making good decisions so they will have the right slant on this for him too.

Seems to me that idea of success and celebrity has become mixed up somewhere along the way. Success isn't a photo in people magazine every week or a number of twitter followers. I've always thought of Success is an accumulation. Of actions, events and outcomes that is noted and appreciated by others over time. Adam is building success on his own terms using his own talent and smarts. His name sells. He as a strong devoted (growing) fan base who will pretty much buy anything he does. He has respect and admiration of peers and luminaries in his chosen field. And he can still for most part live a relatively "normal" life. Not bad at all...
