Okay, I need some tech help. Today I went to YouTube and downloaded all of the concert songs from TALC. However, when I tried to play them, I get a picture, but no sound. This has never happened when I've used YouTube before. My brother checked to make sure all my settings were correct and said it might had just been a glitch where the audio failed to download, but I've tried again with the same results. I use t RealPlayer download button from YouTube. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you download the videos in 1080p resolution? Try downloading the 720p versions. I've noticed that the last couple of months there have been problems with getting 1080p downloads with sound. Others on twitter have noticed this also. Doesn't seem to matter which downloader you use. If anyone has been able to download 1080p Youtubes with sound, please let us know which download you are using. - First of all - thanks for all you do - recording or giving advice or whatever. You're the best! I downloaded Riddle's Red House with Freemake Video Downloader. I didn't think about the resolution, but when it gave me a choice (part of the program), it was already set at 1080. Am watching/listening to it now - on repeat... fwiw, I am using IE9. |

Thank you Momtomany  .. You said it all,, It would be great if we could re-read your feelings on a daily basis to remind us why we're here & why we so love Adam.. It's not a competition with other singers.. It's Adam's journey that we chose to go on. It's all good and Adam is special and really can't be compared to others.. He is totally unique , marvelous and in a league of his own. If a were a singer ,I would never want Adam to open for me.. It would be like committing musical suicide. |

‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: News on Adam Lambert duets with Lea Michele, Chris Colfer
While we know that the wait for “Glee’s“return on February 25 is going to be a long one, won’t it at least be easier to have a few reminders mixed in on some of the music that you’re going to be hearing moving forward? We like to think so.
Well, the following bit of news serves as some sort of confirmation about what is coming up within the first few episodes of the next portion of the season … and for all of you Adam Lambert fans out there, it is very much Starchild-based. According to a new report from TVLine, one of them is going to be a duet involving Chris Colfer’s Kurt, and pole-dancing could be involved here somewhere. (This, based on what we’ve heard, was the first of the two duets to at least film, and it would make some sense for it to be in the first episode back, entitled “Frenemies.”)
Meanwhile, there is also a duet that was previously confirmed featuring Adam and Lea Michele’s Rachel, and the report suggests that Heart’s hit “Barracuda” is likely going to be their song. While the tune has not be confirmed, wouldn’t that be a little bit on the epic side? These two together have the voices to make something like this happen, and you have to imagine that some of the music producers behind the scenes at the show have been scouring for some of the biggest songs possible to give Adam to perform thanks to the quality of his voice.
As for how much longer you are going to see him on the show, the simple answer to that is “probably not that much longer.” Adam’s got his own gigs to do, and this was only meant to be an arc of a handful of episodes to begin with. While there is no definitive count out there, it’s best to just enjoy him while you can.

He is doing GREAT... building a strong base,building blocks, for a solid career that holds all kinds of longevity.He has a smart team working for him and he knows what he wants and is learning how to get there.Success breeds success .. He is #1 Adam is all over the place,concerts,TV,magazine articles,red carpets,charity benefits,Queen ,Avicii,Glee and folks are worrying . IMHO There are all kinds of success and Katie,Gaga,Bruno ,don't hold the answers to Adam's unique talent. Do I hear the sound of angsting just as Adam is admired world wide for his amazing talent,accepted for his sexuality and courted by some incredible talents in the world. Adam said 2014 is going to be over the top.. why oh why would he be the opening act for others??? :-S Just to clarify, I was merely posing a scenario - no angst - and, I think ANY and ALL scenario's are open for discussion -- no matter how unlikely or bizarre. The question was posed as a remote possibility, a "what if he wanted to" not suggesting in the least that he should do it for the sake of his career or anything of the sort. I was just asking who was touring that would seem like a good fit. I've learned a lot from the discussion. |

All of the apps that I normally use in FireFox are no longer downloading 1080p videos. @devenlane told me that Easy YouTube Video Downloader will and I have confirmed that it does. But it makes you repeat a text phrase to do it. Here is their explaination: Why this conversion and image verification?

I just wanted to do a quick de-lurk to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I don't post very much, but I am here every day enjoying all the amazing conversations between people that I've never met, but feel I know. I have to share this, because no one here would understand the way my fellow Adamtopians/Glamberts will. After staying up until stupid o'clock watching the stream from Adam's NYE show and listening and watching our fantastic guy who sounded and looked better than ever, I looked forward to the videos and photographs yesterday. I though he looked amazing, loved the sparkly jacket, the shirt, the hair, the face - in fact everything. And then, dragging myself away from his face, my eyes focussed on the brooch in his lapel and there I think was the gift I gave to him outside our local radio station in Glasgow in March 2010! A traditional Scottish thistle kilt pin with an amethyst stone set in the thistle head. I am truly shocked if it is the same one, the last time I saw it it was wrapped in tissue in a gift bag and Lane looked after it whilst my friend took a photograph of me and Adam - hence the avi. I don't feel this way very much, but I feel very special right now - Adam can probably have anything he wants at this moment in time and he chose a wee gift given by a fan for such a special occasion. I'll away back into lurkdom again but I'll still be here every day. Love to you all!! OMG - I would just die. You know he has a way of remembering his fans -- people have written about him "remembering" them from other performances, etc. You just know he picked up that pin and remembered. SQUEE!! |
