Sorry, but there is no proof that opening builds an audience, especially for someone as specific as Adam. We can just use Jordin Sparks, Scotty, and even Kris Allen as examples. Just to name a few Idols. And the P!NK opening acts both tours? I don't even know where they are now. I have never once gone to a show to see an opening act & often i skip the opening act or come late. I tend to agree, but he needs to try something new and different, imo. I think a lot of it has to do with the compatibility of the opening act. I know several people who actually bought the PP album after catching him with John Mayer---one guy even left the concert more impressed with Phillip than John.
Nah, he just needs to have a label that knows WTF they are doing. A Ceo that "gets" him. P2? Waiting for album #2 sales before I start comparing him. |
