I am just beaming at the happiness that Adam is experiencing now, and he deserves it all. Not only is he talent worthy but has worked very very hard and tolerated much that would put others out of the game to get to this point. But that is not news here. It is interesting that he calls himself as a small business owner, and I am wondering what this might mean in terms of his agreement. Has he opened his own label of sorts, is he an indie artist? I know we are speculating that he has signed with someone new, but his talents go beyond music, and he lists them all in his tweet. Has he started a corporation in his name? I too am a small business owner , independent though, but small business can mean many many things, mostly that you own the rights to your business, either as a sole proprietor, a corporation or a partnership. To me, being signed to a label to produce a product, which is music, is not the same thing?? Business people and music oriented general tea reading ninjas out there in Atop land... thoughts???? ADAM LAMBERT INC.????

hmmm. the winky face, "grateful to have earned the right" to be his own small business. Am I reading too much into this? Sounds sort of independent to me, at least not part of a big corporation. You are not alone.
Adam is already his own small, independent business. He's into many projects, which gives him a lot of freedom and allows him to spread the risk. If he was with a label he would have to get permission whenever he wanted to work with artists not on his label. He's so talented that he has the security of knowing that he will always be in demand. Have voice will travel.
Maybe he's looking back at 2013 and thinking "Gee, Queen, Glee, Nile and Avicii. Not a bad life." Also he was in NYC for a few days. Broadway workshops and castings are always happening. Maybe he got some enquires and it reminded him of where he was before Idol. Lots to be grateful for.
Best of all, new music on the way. Not necessarily a cd but, hey, as long as he's singing new stuff and we can hear it, it's all good.
Sounds like he is having a glass half full moment. How full the glass actually is, we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'm cherishing what we have.
P.S. Maybe Brian May got some good news and Queen + is still a go. That would make my glass runneth over.

From the get-go, Adam said he was also a businessman. That will no doubt come in handy going forward.
I'm so happy to see him so happy.

From what I have read ,Adam has given other artists some business advice and has stated at various times that he doesn't like to be told what to do... Hmmmmm singer, songwriter, actor, fashion enthusiast, model,LGBT rights activist,media/PR expert ,business man and most important fine human being.

Seems to me that Adam had a "glass half full" moment last night. Reflecting that five years ago he was standing on the cusp of possibilities waiting for his audition for Idol to air. He had heavily invested in himself, left a good paying, steady gig (for the second time, so, if this new gig didn't work out, he would never be able to go back to the Wicked producers and get another job), and taken a huge leap of faith in his talent and hard work. Now, he is returning from a business meeting in New York where he probably signed contracts previously negotiated that will allow him to create the art he wants the way he wants with the input he wants. For an artist and entertainer, that is HUGE and very rare. Heck, just flying first class to and from NYC to sign a contract of any kind is huge.
I talked with my 62 year old musician/performer sister yesterday. She and hubby are traveling from Wisconsin to Texas to get away from the cruel winter. She stayed in Wisconsin for Christmas, to be with family. She stayed thru the New Year because she had several gigs to play. Freezing winters? Bad. Playing a gig? Good. Performing won out, as it always does. As we chatted, her hubby was packing her keyboard and sound equipment in the car. Before anything else. Cuz, wherever she goes, she is gonna find other musicians and they are gonna make music. In the town hall square, at a retirement home, for a quinceniera, for a bar mitzvah, for the opening of a shopping mall, wherever. The need to make music is ever present, and doing so feeds her soul.
As long as Adam feels he is free to create and perform, and as long as he has kindred souls to join him in his work, and ---- as long as he doesn't get distracted or seduced by people telling him what he SHOULD be doing to be a superstar, and what the measure of that is ---- Adam will be happy. I think he wanted to reflect on that and remind his fans to do the same. No matter what "forward motion" ends up being, if Adam is happy creating music (and making enough money to support himself and a little bling) then we fans should be happy as well. IMO.
