There was a fan incident at his house? I believe there was a case of some overseas fans going through his mailbox. Adam laughed it off saying anyone who thought he actually had his personal mail going to the house was nuts. All they would have seen was junk mail.

Does white wine count as clear liquids? Haha...didn't think of that when I had mine...chicken broth is a nice substitute...I liked it best. A couple of things that might help when getting ready...clear access to a bathroom is a must LOL. When mixing the stuff you have to drink so much of be sure to mix accurately. I mixed in a large container and let it get cold. I bought 8 ounce disposable cups and drank one cup at a time while watching Adam or tv. Then 15 minutes later I drank another cup. It doesn't seem so bad when you break it up. But the most important thing to remember is it could save your life...as it did mine when I had my first one. My DR sent me to a surgeon and he removed part of my colon. He said from 0 to 100...100 being cancer...I was at 98. After that, I did some research and found berries, especially blueberries help keep the colon clean. My last checkup was clean as a whistle. I know it's uncomfortable and messy...but you'll feel so much better when it's over and you're okay.

Thanks krazykay and franki. Now if I could just convince them to pipe Adam music into the procedure room.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. But I think at this price point you do not just "drop in" to view the open house. Not sure how it would work but I suspect you are on a list of acceptable people to view the house. eta: just a comment on Adams gold bracelet. I think on anyone else I would put it in the OTT, déclassé bracket but on Adam... Well it not only works but looks damn good. You are correct. These usually require that you are accompanied by a buyers agent and are prequalified to make a purchase in the price range. California must be different then in what they call an Open House. I've been in multiple Open Houses for million dollar homes along with dozens of other common gawkers and since the price point up here is about a quarter of what they are down there let's say they are pretty nice estates. An Open House is advertised in the paper and the whole effort is geared toward getting people there and they are quite used to having those of us with no intention of purchasing, perhaps we'll have wealthy friends. If you have an agent then they have a key and you can look at any house that is listed almost anytime of day (depending on some restrictions live in owners or renters might request)

Yes exactly what happened and it was his neighbor who scared them away.

Not a hard and fast rule by any means -- but the nice homes with valuable artwork and furnishings almost always require a buyers agent. It is really not as much about the home price but more about what is in the home. My experience was the same in some other parts of California, South Florida, Sedona, Santa Fe, and NYC. ETA: I sold two luxury homes in the LA area -- there was never an occasion where a buyers agent was allowed in the home without someone from my agent's team staging the property and accompanying them. I did the same thing in Boca Raton. But not in other places I have lived.

Once upon a time I was a high powered RE agent in La Jolla. We had open houses on very expensive houses all the time.
