Stardust, thanks for bringing that link here. I am hoping for a Jena/Alex finale and I guess I'm hoping for Jena to win. She seems like the most likely one of the three to have a career in the current music scene. Do you watch The Voice too? I was surprised that Christina ended up in the bottom 3 today. She has a lot of Youtube followers and I thought she might be the frontrunner. Do you think that Jake might win??? He has the weakest voice, but the "aw shucks" factor going on. I know nothing about country music, so maybe he could have a career??? didn't even know this thread existed until now I'm casually watching AI, more intently watching The Voice. I'll be bugged if Jake wins, IMO he is a generic country singer, nothing even a tad bit unique. The twitter save seems quite unfair when you have a contestant(Christina) who had 400,000 followers before the show even started. My preference is for Josh to win. AI: just no to Alex please. He sounds fine but I can't watch him perform. The facial contortions bug the heck out of me. Dude looks like he has a stick up his ass 24-7. And I find it ironic that Jess was constantly picked on for her lack of stage presence, Alex has none either. Ultimately though I could care less who wins.

We've been rather lonely here -- it is an indication of AI's slide as there used to be a lot more interaction in previous seasons. The Voice thread never really got going. And I agree about Alex's performing style -- the marching band feet also bug me. So I guess that leaves Jena. I think the whole Voice twitter save concept is bad. It is really unfair to the contestants who might have an older fanbase who don't do twitter. America voted and I think all of these shows should honour the vote. But maybe the producers are looking for the contestants who have a younger fan base and that's how they are protecting them. I didn't think much of the 3 new songs that were unveiled last night. Will's song sounded like it was in some weird key. I hope their tour goes well -- it is nice to see that they are still pursuing a musical career. I've decided that Josh looks like a leprechaun -- but he does have a great voice.

Well, now I really am talking to myself over here. Seems a lot of the discussion moved to the main thread. For the sake of continuity, I note that Alex is out and Caleb and Jena are the final two after a very long grind!!! Hopefully, both will be in full voice next week.
Also, I am happy that Slapout, Alabama gave Jessica a parade. She deserved it!

Well, not thrilled with Caleb making the final. Hope he doesn't win. I can't imagine he will sell well. Jena seems way more current, and interesting.

Then again, I'm not particularly fond of Jena - I can't seem to understand a single line of any of the songs she sings! She keeps swallowing her words or something.

I just looked back at Jena's audition video because I remembered that Harry commented on that. He said it looked like she was closing off the words with her tongue -- almost like a speech impediment. Of course, Keith liked the way she shaped her words. I agree that it can be hard to understand her -- but I find the same with Caleb. I suppose one good thing about having a distinctive sound is that people recognize your voice on the radio.

Well, the AI Season 13 finale was mildly entertaining. Those shows are always such a mishmash and this one was missing Adam. The group numbers were not that good -- I hope they are better for the summer tour. I really had no idea who was going to win and I didn't really care. Caleb beat Jena. Oh well.
Josh Kaufman won the Voice and he deserved it -- hopefully, with Usher's help, Josh can make a good career in music.
