OK, I am now intrigued about Adam and his band and Paul. Brian, Tommy and Ashley met Paul McCartney at a rehearsal facility. Not info about what the rehearsal was for. And no info about if Adam met Paul. Ashley is off to Vancouver BC for a 1.25.14 show with The Airborne Toxic Event -- filling in for their bassist. www.theairbornetoxicevent.com/I can't figure out what that rehearsal was for but perhaps they just ended up in the same building as Paul. *** The Grammys are doing a tribute to The Beatles and that is why Paul is in town. EW.com confirmed that Paul and Ringo are performing as part of a star-filled spectacular. Here is CNN's report -- which also included a description of the "Grammys Salute" show. |

I am optimistic for A3. And always looking forward. Anyway -- most of my fav artists never won an Grammy and many were never nominated. ** The strangest gap in the 2014 nominations IMO is that AVICII has no nominations -- not even in dance. My theory on that is that his peers do not take kindly to featured artists not being named! There are over 15,000 Grammy voters, so that seems unlikely to me. And they have no apparent issue with other EDM artists who did the same thing. I think it was a genre fit problem. My theory on that is that his peers do not take kindly to featured artists not being named! Ha! (I kinda got the impression that Adam was a little miffed about that lack of acknowledgement also.) I think that was pretty clear when he did his intro to LMD in Biloxi. But, the odd thing to me is that it was not like it was a secret. AVICII talked about working with Adam and Nile in almost every interview. And they got the all important songwriter credit. Well in any case, WMU should have gotten a Grammy nomination but it did not. |

TommyJoe Ratliff @tommyjoeratliff 30m Still in shock from getting to talk with @paulmccartney yesterday. Such an honor! I will never forget that. Put it all together and what have you got............ Speculation and angst. SOMETHING is going on!!!!!!! The band has meet other famous band legends at the rehersal facility before and it didn't mean anything but a chance meeting. I really think that if there was some kind of collaboration with Adam and Paul going on, then the band would have known about it before hand and not been surprise by the meeting. With Ashely filling in for the father-to-be in the other band for a few gigs, and the possibility that Adam has more all day Glee filming to do in the next few weeks, it would seem likely that this rehersal was for the Family Equality event in 2 weeks. |
