My theory on that is that his peers do not take kindly to featured artists not being named! There are over 15,000 Grammy voters, so that seems unlikely to me. And they have no apparent issue with other EDM artists who did the same thing. I think it was a genre fit problem. Yeah...I really liked them too. They are re-uniting for the Grammy's!  Love Annie Lennox. Pure voice. ETA - ooh, I like it when he wears blue. And the hat suits too. |

I love surprises! The fact that we don't know when, where or why he is "rehearsing" thrills me I'll admit though, I'm getting a little ansy, it's been almost 24hrs since I saw the instagram vids...........lol. It does make me a little sad to think he had a number 1 cd in 2013 and he was at no award shows up for an award :( 2012. He would have been up for awards at last year's Grammys! And I am still butthurt that the album didn't get a nomination. It was good and it was history making! But Frank Ocean was the gay darling of last year!  OOPS. I don't even know what year I'm in, lol. Thanx |

Since we know Shosh already said Adam wouldn't be doing any Grammy performance maybe Brian is playing for some artists during the show. I know absolutely NOTHING!lol Gelly @14gelly 1m We don't see Brian at rehearsal VIDS but he could have been there for other songs so? Hmm

Very late to respond. Catch is that AVICII/his management-label chose to submit WMU for the big categories and pop (big push for WMU to get ROTY and SOTY). It was NOT submitted as a dance track so could not be nominated as Best Dance Recording -- which it might have gotten. They seem to have miscalculated. It was expected by many to get a ROTY and/or SOTY nom -- but didn't. Posted on Grammy.com before the nominations were released:
In the Song Of The Year category, an award for songwriters, possibilities include Avicii's genre-bending "Wake Me Up" (co-written with Aloe Blacc, Incubus' Mike Einziger and Ash Pournouri);.......www.grammy.com/blogs/the-56th-grammy-awards-the-guessing-game Looks like the voters who might have voted for WMU/True, opted for Get Lucky/RAM. Hard for me to imagine that Blurred Lines, Get Lucky AND WMU could all three get nominated. While I do not disagree with you that the way AVICII does not give credit to vocalists, and has attempted to redefine the word "musician" is not popular with some in the music industry -- he gives co-writing credit to all the key performers and thus they get a share of the publishing royalties. So not totally bad. It is not the only Grammy oddity -- Lorde is up for ROTY, SOTY, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and NOT nominated as Best New Artist? I have not checked but I do not think this has ever happened before. And it is STUPID. |

Lorde not being up for Best New Artist is ridiculous! I saw a snippet of her on some sort of pre-Grammy show on TV Guide Network. I love that she was fully clothed and not selling sex at all. Ata girl. |
