Real talent has always found a way to get through... somewhere....., but not every talent that would have deserved to, has been able to break through. Previously, the path to success was to knock on those traditional doors until one of them did indeed open. But the empire behind those doors was essential to having further success. Which means you had to get the attention and approval of those behind those closed gates.
I think that this is changing. The path between artist and listener/viewer is about 140 characters long. It is direct and it is immediate. But all artists are competing for the attention of everyone in the public at the same time.
So, this becomes all about new market(ing) channels and new networks that can garner enough strength to get through the noise level.

Craazyforadam, when did Shoshanna tweet that this trip was not Adam related? I folliw her and do not recall that at all. Just checked back on her twitter via ( google) as I do not twitter. It was discussed only a bit in the thread. A bit of a downer ...  Jan 21st in response to LlBlondmom's tweet question ....edit re Adam news. Confusion re news. |

mys*&@^#r, was about a week to 10 days ago. She responded to a fan. I'll start digging around. Not sure of the day anymore. ETA: Wolf theme fits with new black,gray, white color scheme on the fan site. Admittedly, it also fits with the more gruff style of grooming. (beard, plaid shirts, etc.). So, I think we are seeing first signs of the new direction here. It's an interesting topic, because not only is it a spirit animal for Adam, but of course, wolves were almost extinct, were not allowed to exist in our society, because they were too dangerous, and now, in recent years they were brought back, and are thriving. Of course there is still a lot of opposition to the new laws that allow the wolves to co-exist with people, but attitudes towards wolves have changed over time. Does the topic remind anyone of something else? I am thinking you may have misunderstood a reply about her "big news" (Pharell) or her exciting news (One Republic) Guarantee you if she had specifically said, "This trip is not about Adam" I not only would have noticed but it would have been ALL over my feed and RTed a ton! Considering she has only done a few RTs about Pharrell & John in the past few days, I would bet her trip is almost all about Adam. One of those being a photo shoot that she talked about after her last visit. |
