My memory is not all it should be but I can think of a number of times we have seen Adam in duets...some pre idol and others post. My prayer twice...once with cantor ??name? and with Noa Dori [sp? again] Duet at pr event for Wicked; most/many stage singing has elements of a 'duet' in that there is sharing of the spotlight idol and post idol: Alison Iraheta; Kris Allen [finale; Ford showcase]; Alison and Kris [RMT] Alisan [Aftermath]; Angie [Titanium]; Young contestant in China [WWFM]; Fun w/Queen, iheart; Russian/Ukraine singer w/queen @ Kiev; I am sure I have missed lots...I have ignored 'group' sings or just audio [such as with Eden Espinoza] What about Aurea at Hennesey?!!! OMG!!! Hot, hot, hot!!!

The song is so bubble gum..it confounds me that you have the voice of Adam Lambert, who plays well with others, but sticks him with these schmucky songs. Chris can sang..I'd like to see the two of them have a song that merits their vocal abilities. That is all. #whyGlee? And I hope they don't overproduce it to death like the last duet. OK, so I got spoiled with MTN, but Glee is not doing any of their talented cast or guests a favor with bleck songs. JMO. If they wanna be a rockstar, let em sing like it. Give them a rock song! Wail that sucker...geez, I've been in the house too long. He has fabulous songs in Episodes 9 & 10, so I guess a little bubble gum is OK. Maybe? To me, if you feed an audience too much pablum, that is what they know and come to expect. #aimhigherglee

Okay, I need to know a couple of things: 1) How did Adam "overshare" during the runup to FYE and Trespassing? 2) And if he actually *did* overshare, how did that hurt him in the long run? How did his sharing hurt critical reception and sales promo? As y'all know, I don't do twitter, so I can't go back 3-4 years and see what kind of sharing was going on at the time, but my tired old brain doesn't remember stuff that would have hurt Adam's promo and/or the reception to his music. Can you guys enlighten me, please? TBH, I don't remember too much leading up to Trespassing's release (except the delays and the ultra crappy BTIKM), but I do remember the build up to FYE and it was SO MUCH FUN because there were so many tweets from various songwriters/producers and everyone was so excited! I guess because he shared so many of his collaborators, such as producers and writers. We knew about almost all the songs before the album came out. But I do agree with you that I don't see how the sharing hurt his reviews. Because except for maybe 2 biased reviewers, his reviews were excellent. Billboard and RS loved it! Yes, RS and Billboard both gave Trespassing excellent reviews -- and I remain impressed with Adam getting 4/5 stars from Rob Sheffield, RS for a pop album. I actually think Trespassing is a better album than most of the US reviews (forget about the UK not getting it) -- EW for example, gave it a B- and that was a review by Melissa Maerz (who likes Adam, likes Idol and likes gays). She wrote, "Adam Lambert might be the only American Idol alum who considers purple eyeliner a daytime look. So it's hard to understand why it took him so long to make his big gay dance-club album. Even after he came out in 2009, the eighth-season runner-up didn't stop flirting with the straight crowd, indulging in classic-rock guitars and gender-neutral pronouns on his debut, For Your Entertainment. But on Trespassing, he's left the closet far behind..." Then ended it by writing "By the end, our hero is wailing about fallen Towers of Babel and ripping away his flesh and bone to a ''red river of screams.'' Cheer up, Glammy. It's nothing a little makeup remover can't fix." Glammy!?! Who the fuck ever call Adam F Lambert GLAMMY! Just a terrible review, not a bad review, but a terribly written review! She just should have written, "it's too gay." and been done with it. [Sorry, but that one still has me steamed. Yes, he's GAY!] **** I do think the Observer (UK) reviewer, Kitty Empire, really did get Trespassing -- and although the review led off with a bit of Queenish snobbery... "In Britain, if he is known at all, Adam Lambert might be familiar as the show-off who sang with Queen at MTV's Europe music awards in 2011. Heavily invested in hair gel, he recalled an airbrushed Athena poster of the young Gary Numan. The 30-year-old Californian is the latest belter to fill the lung space left by Freddie Mercury; for five years the job belonged to Paul Rodgers. Queen hardliners are, of course, divided. Many, though, have praised the flamboyance and vocal gumption with which Lambert, a veteran of musical theatre, has thrown himself into Mercury's platform boots. Queen will play three sold-out nights at London's Hammersmith Apollo in July." Kitty Empire redeemed herself when she finally got to the album...I thought this was one of the best descriptions of Trespassing. I'll leave off her quibble at the end. *** No way to unwind Trespassing and after A3 is a big hit, perhaps new fans will discover it. Shady, PTL, Kickin In and a few other tracks are great. And Runnin'...should be where the sucky BTIKM is sitting. ETA#2: Oh, and months before the album was released, we heard OOL, BTIKM, NCOE, and 45 second clips of Trespassing, Cuckoo and Naked Love. ETA - Adam Kale heads are toooooooo creepy!
