I have zero investment in what he chooses to wear or how he does his hair because - well - his choice. But I agree with the above... And continuing on (and this is my opinion and all - although who's else would it be...) Singing a song that is your song (ie WWFM) over and over = understandable to me. Singers have done that forever. If Bing Crosby were still alive he'd still be singing about White Christmas and Frank would be singing My Way. But singing a cover over and over I just don't get. Doesn't help that I have NEVER liked the song (even if I can appreciate how lovely his voice is singing it). Who knows - maybe they requested he do it. Maybe he just really really likes the song and identifies with it. Maybe it really is a mad world and this is the universe punishing me :-) #carryon To many people, Mad World IS Adam's song!! And he obviously loves it or he wouldn't keep doing it. It means something to him. He has a history with it. We have to remember also that most people have not heard it 200 times, 50 different ways like we have! He did WWFM at Trevor Live and I would guess since there are many of the same attendees from that, at last night's function, he wanted to do something else he was known for. They probably haven't heard him sing it since Idol & from Idol, that was his signature song. Oh I think anyone over the age of 45 is well aware it isn't his song. But that's beside the point because like his hair and his clothes. His song. His choice. Still don't like the song. Didn't like it when it came out. Didn't like it when Gary Jules redid it. Don't like it now. Just one of those universe and I are not on the same page things with this one. All good. |

Can't remember the details of which function but two women were yelling out "Mad World" for Adam to sing it for the concert.

Here's the thing, it is an internet "problem" as I see it. Many people think that every opinion that pops into their head needs to be expressed via their keyboard. Do we do this in real life? I would guess, "Absolutely, no!" My son, my daughters, my friends, my neighbors wear questionable outifts & wear clothes I would never think of wearing all the time. Do I tell them and everyone that can hear me, "What are they thinking?!" Nope, never! You know why? It is their life, their body, their choice. And unless they are hurting themselves or others, what's the point... to let my opinion be known on something that absolutely does not matter and has nothing to do with me??!  My love for these people (and Adam) far outweighs my opinion on their innocent choices being expressed to everyone. Every opinion or thought that pops into one's head does not have to be expressed! Thank you to the people who thanked me for me so positive. Guess what? I do it intentionally! LOL!  Hell, yeah, mys*&@^#r! I'm not quite a lurker, but I don't post very often unless I have something to say. And I totally agree with your viewpoint on this issue.     |

Hi to everybody. Just wanted to say that imo this place would be boring if all members just flail over everything and have same opinions. it is much more entertaining to read various opinions and i really don't find depressing when people criticize smth. related to Adam. Why it should upset me? anyway I have my own opinion.  elenamd! Jumping in...and hope I don't regret it.  I have no problem with folks sharing their thoughts, opinions, etc., either positive or negative. Our Guidelines state that we should all be free to express our views....and we need to respect the opinions of others.....this is a very respectful site, thanks to Q3 and the Mods...and I wouldn't want it any differently.... Methinks we are all in the February Funk and perhaps more than a little bored right now.....  Guys! Just a few more weeks and we will not be able to keep up with all the goodies coming our way!  PS: IMHO....YMMV  Ok, I'm done.......  |

Hey guys! I am merely a lurker but do visit this site almost every day for Adam news and you guys are great at keeping up with all things Adam. I greatly appreciate all the hard work you guys do as I'm sure every lurker here does. That said, reading in here this morning just really depressed me. Instead of flailing over Adam's amazing performance, I read a bunch of negative stuff about Adam's haircut, his Melvin, his tattoo, his nose ring, his piano partner, the waiters, etc. etc. Really guys! That was an amazing performance of Mad World. The piano didn't bother me one bit and neither did the waiters. All I can complain about is that I wasn't there to hear him in person. And if the next complaint is going to be that the audience wasn't attentive enough, then all I can say is that the world doesn't revolve around Adam, as much as we might want it to. Back to lurking! I think you're missing the point mszue. The endless criticism is what "kills the party" for some. Everyone can stan in their own way. I'm not for censorship, but when one lurker such as jomama comes out of lurkdom to express this opinion, folks should realize that she most certainly represents many others. I think maybe it's different for regular posters engaging in a back and forth. But when you love this blog for catching up after the fact, it may seem more negative than intended. :  No offense to the glass half empty folk, whatever floats your boat. I know many sports fans that "hate" everything about their teams but will follow them AND defend them to others until their dying day. But THANK YOU to the many regular posters in the "glass half full" group led by Q3 & MyS*&@^#r in particular.   I'm one of those who was here daily until all these new names showed up and it became a bitchfest. Sorry to generalize but it's the truth. There's a big difference between laughing or even making fun of something Adam does or wears or his hair and bitching about it and thinking Adam should give a damn about your (entitled) opinion. Do I think he's always spot on with his choices? Of course not. I still chuckle about a few of them, but it harkens back to the "he who is without sin-or bad fashion choices" casting the first stone. My solution is to stop by periodically and leave if the naysayers are on a roll. No one is forcing me, so I exercise my personal prerogative. That's what Adam does every day so good for him. I'm not dictating what others post just saying it gets old real fast when the bullies show up. |

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and discussing is what we do. As long as we express our opinions in a civil way without insinuating that others are somehow wrong because they do not agree with us, all is well. If we all agreed, this would be a boring place. We are different people of different ages, from different places and from different backgrounds. We will never all agree and we don't have to.
