Tonight! Adam returns to American Idol
2.18.14 by Q3

American Idol will reduce the field of 31 singers to 13 during a three-episode run that starts tonight on Fox, 8 p.m. ET/PT. But that won’t be the important part – the important part is the first two episodes will include Adam Lambert! who will be mentoring the semi-finalists along with Chris Daugherty as part of Randy Jackson’s Boot Camp.

The judges will be making some cuts and then the remaining contestants will perform. The ladies will perform on Tuesday, the guys on Wednesday. The results show will be broadcast Thursday but there is no indication that Adam will be part of that show. When the week in over, “America” will have voted for their Top 10, and each judge will pick a Wild Card for a total of 13 Finalists.


Randy Jackson Gives More Dope About Adam Lambert’s “Idol Workshop”

Frantic n’ feverish superfans of ex-”American Idol” alum Adam Lambert, you can take that chill pill now, n’ rest easy.

That’s because The Dawg, Randy Jackson, has revealed the dope n’ the inside scoop on Adam’s upcoming appearance on the new “Idol Workshop” segments.

Randy confessed that fans can expect to see more insight into the music industry, and that the new workshop segments were designed to help “Idol” contestants on their journey.

Which is why both Adam, and another “Idol” alum Chris Daughtry, are being brought back for the show’s panel — because, according to Randy, both are “inspirational and successful artists.”



“We talk about everything in this workshop,” Randy revealed, “because I really wanted to break it down for the kids…

“When the judges say this, are you hearing what they are saying?” The Dawg continued. “Are you retaining 20 percent? 30 percent? What are you listening to?…

“Because you have cameras in your face,” said Randy. “You have 500 people in the audience and you got all the chatter from social media. You got friends and family. You got millions of people watching on TV.”

So Randy’s new workshop segments “really broke it down, and went through everything that we could.”

He added that “I wanted to have [Adam and Chris return as mentors]. They were actually in the trenches as people we were judging. And they can tell it from a completely different side.”

In addition, “the two of them are so different. But they are also so equally, really, really talented! Both of their seasons, I thought both of them would win!” The Dawg laughed.

The debut of “Idol Workshop” airs in the US on February 18, with part two coming on February 19.
