Well, it appears that Adam Baptiste deleted the two vids from his Instagram. There have been some "stupid" tweets to Shosh asking if this is the new single......sigh. ETA: Waves at the lovely Kamar....  But of course we have youtubes and downloads...for the fandom archives. lol |

Well, it appears that Adam Baptiste deleted the two vids from his Instagram. There have been some "stupid" tweets to Shosh asking if this is the new single......sigh. That 15 seconds of Adam singing in the studio makes me happier and more excited than the two hours of Idol last night. Damn! Such a voice. Made for the blues. More! More! And, if the acoustic guitar video is any indication of a more stripped back production I am doubly happy. Oh you are so right! Adam how he is singing! This is what he brought to Biloxi that I have been hoping would be on A3! At least we know that it made it to the studio. And that laugh! That raspy laugh! That alone was better than 2 hours of Idol even with some bits of Adam. |

Randy said he thought that the girls were slightly stronger than the boys. That does not bode well for "reviving our spirits" or proving you wrong.  I meant it to be....sarcastic...the girls did not do it for me...so how likely are the boys going to change my opinion. I said last night in my post ...I will put my PVR on. (well I may watch it live too.... just so I can see Adam..  As for chalking up the girls' poor performances to inexperience and nerves, how is it different than the previous twelve seasons of Idol? Well you got me on my choice of words here for sure. You are right they all have to deal with nerves...but to clarify my thoughts---age/experience are related ..the older some serious artists are ...they have been singing in bars/clubs/with bands and as an example--- Adam at 27 had stage experience, musicals, clubs. He had six more years of exposure to singing under pressure, than most of these gals. The Scotty's etc had the Voice and country leaning so the odd bobbles were "more allowed". ( and that is a topic not relevant here)You are right, there were tens of thousands of females auditioning. Idol CAST these gals above much better, more experienced singers. Their choice. But, perhaps because The Voice casts better singers to begin with, this choice could backfire on them. Folks may now expect better voices. I just don't see that last nights' contestants would make anyone want to watch every week or pick up a phone and vote. Yup... We are both on the same page with these thoughts. ETA: Or, what nica just said above me. I am happy/thrilled for Adam's exposure on AI! It is just hard to see a program that brought Adam to me .... "tanking" when all they needed to do was ask the great minds at Adamtopia how to right the ship with a few tweeks, and the right contestants! Thank Golly at least for the 50 vote limit! About time! |
