@shoshannastone This is a perfect example of why I didn't do Heart when I participated in Idol Bootcamp #notforamateursDid Lyndsey just make a veiled slam on Lea... nah. Probably best that Heart only be performed by the select few though. |

Who chooses the songs for Glee episodes? The Happening is a terrible song that was outdated when it was originally released. And Gloria? Just - no. Why does Ryan Murphy want to waste Adam's glorious voice on crap songs like these? And why does he persist in trying to make Lea Michele a credible rock singer? Some artists' voices are only suited to a particular genre; Lea's voice is great for show tunes, but having her trying to sing rock is like having Kristen Chenoweth cover Tina Turner's catalog. The fact that Adam can make even bad songs sound good speaks volumes about his talent. It's goofy. "What does the Fox Say?" - silly, too (and many felt the same way about it!). How I feel is - Glee" was "Glee" before Adam , and it seems, sometimes, to feature wtf songs. But so many people are getting to enjoy Adam on the show, the whole package - his looks, charm AND voice, that the weirder song choices don't bother me. I think it synchs up with his whole, "hey, kids, let's put on a show!" side. And then there's MTN, IBIATCL, and "Barracuda." I still think Adam lobbied for The Darkness song, but I think Ryan Murphy's gotta be the decider. (The only thing that would bother me with his "Glee" gig is if anything tragic happened to his character, but I have been assured that won't happen by many people and they BETTER be right.) |

Funny thing is as I listen to Barracuda I can picture the facial expressions of both Adam and Lea as they sing their parts... scowls, stank face, head flicks, prowls and all. LOL

I thought that maybe it was because I was unfamiliar with Barracuda but it didn't really do much for me  . I've listened a few more times but I'm afraid it's going to join AYGGMW as one of the rare covers Adam's done that I don't like. Not his voice of course but the actual song. Also, I'm not a Leah fan and would have preferred him to sing this with Demi. After hearing her sing in this I never want to hear anyone refer to Adam as too Broadway!If I had to choose my favourite Glee performance so far it would be MTN. I must admit that I'm more of a pop girl (apart from QAL) so maybe that accounts for it as I also loved Stay and Titanium. |
