The song always belongs to the writer. Only the recording belongs to the label! The song belongs to the writers UNLESS they sell or assign the rights to someone else. IF there are some finished songs that were not used on Trespassing, they almost certainly belong to the writers. The copyrights to master recordings made during the contract period belong to RCA. RCA also owns the outtakes and alternate versions of the studio work. Usually, there are not a bunch of great unreleased tracks left over from album writing session. I don't think there are a buch of great songs hanging around from Trespassing. Adam recorded a few leftover tracks from other artists -- most of his RCA singles. It is something that RCA/19R did a lot with Idols. FYE (Britney rumored), WWFM (Pink), BTIKM (Ryan Teddar wrote this about 3 years before Adam recorded it), and NCOE (Bruno Mars #2) were are left overs. I am not sure about IIHY but my money is on it was another leftover track that they modified the lyrics a bit for Adam. IIHY may have also been written for Britney, certainly written for a female vocalist. My biggest hope for A3 is that Adam has his first lead single that was co-written by Adam and written for him. ** I believe Adam worked on some demo tracks with AVICII and Nile Rodgers, and also with Mystery Skulls, AVICII and Nile Rodgers. I think the Mystery Skulls sessions were for his debut album. He released the lead single in January 31, 2014 (Ghost) but there is not information on the album tracks yet. There was no clarity about who the AVICII-Nile-Adam writing sessions were for except that AVICII said something about working with Adam again in the future and also has a new album in the works. May be released in late 2014 but more likely 2015. Does this mean Adam could potentially rerecord and rerelease a song on one of his existing albums? The true gems on both albums were penned by Adam IMO. Many of the best songs relivated to bonus tracks. |

Think you meant Claude Kelly here, Q3  And although I have been joking about mashed potatoes, I think Adam is just having a few days off in Paris. Some down time to kill before NYC and Stockholm was too cold to stay!

ETA He might have followed KTZ before, it's fashion that he's interested in. I don't have a possibility to see that, but you mentioned specifically 'kokontozaiparis'. Don't know if that matters much, though, but I think it's best to keep the things we actually know in order.
Speculation is another matter and speaking of that, I was thinking that the vinti_andrews account Adam sent his tweet to seemed to talk about KTZ fashion and web sales. So, maybe he wanted new gloves and sent the pic to specify the gloves? Perhaps not remembering their name, not finding them on their catalogue or something.
