The ABC Radio News Report continue to be picked up in online news articles. The upcoming tour announcement has been mentioned on two classic rock radio stations.

The lack of any comment about this by Adam, Brian and Roger, and MSG leads me to believe that this is real.

Rumours of a Queen And Adam Lambert tour have been fuelled by recent reports in the US press, with ABC News Radio announcing that the iconic band are planning an announcement at New York's Madison Square Garden for March 6.

Lambert, a former American Idol contestant, performed with the band at last year's iHeart Radio festival, while Queen's guitarist, Brian May, recently confirmed that talks had taken place between the parties.

In a move that should come as no surprise to those of you who have been following our news section, Queen have announced “some sort of event” with American Idol star Adam Lambert for next Thursday at Madison Square Garden. Yes, these pre-announcement-announcements are starting to grate a little bit, but hey, this is Queen we’re talking about here – and the anticipation is killing us.

There’s no word yet on what the announcement will be, but considering Lambert and Queen have toured together in the past, and in light of Brian May’s recent statements about his plans for 2014, it's safe to assume that Queen and Lambert will be unveiling tour plans.

Early this month, guitarist Brian May revealed that he and drummer Roger Taylor were cooking up a little road trip.

"We've also been looking at doing some dates – Roger and myself, and who knows who else!” May exclaimed. “Of course these days nothing is a secret for more than the five minutes it takes for Twitter and Facebook to spread rumors. I think we're up for one more swing out there. In fact, in our Queen meeting today, we drank on it!"

And May followed that up a a couple weeks later with this: "After a while, you realize that people wanna hear the songs and see us do things. So, no matter what you call it, Roger and I do do stuff, and I think we'll be doing some more stuff this summer in fact, probably in the States."

So yeah, if they don’t announce a Lambert-Queen tour next Thursday, we’ll be shocked.

The iconic rockers and American Idol winner are expected to announce a string of US shows, with British fans hoping the band will bring their tour to the UK as well. The band have announced an undisclosed event at Madison Square Garden according to US sources, with more details promised to follow. A famous concert location, it is possible the band will perform live for guests.

The band had previously hinted at plans to tour again with Lambert, but now guitarist Brian May, has told Radio 2 that due to the band's 'ongoing' nature, the band will tour again, saying that a US summer tour is currently the most likely option.

"We've been talking to Adam Lambert, you know we've already done some gigs with Adam, who is amazing," said May in the interview.

"We are ongoing, we can't help it, I think we all protested too much in the sense when Freddie went and we didn't want to talk about it and didn't want to be Queen for a while," he added. "But after a while you realise that people wanna hear the songs and see us do things. So, no matter what you call it, Roger and I do do stuff and I think we'll be doing some more stuff this summer in fact, probably in the States."



Drummer Roger Taylor previously praised Lambert's time with the band in a 2013 interview with Canoe.ca.

"It was a one-off but it went really fantastically well," he said in December. "He's really come on even more, He's a real dark force now. And he's very theatrical. And he really interprets our songs just brilliantly. And he has that incredible instrument, that voice and I feel he's going away from the pop thing which is good I think. And he's becoming a serious player."

He added: "He's got a voice which is pretty unbeatable. I do think we will be working with Adam next year, yeah."

April 1, 2014 Glee Episode 14: "New New York" - Adam/Starchild/Elliott Gilbert will be in the first all New York episode. Plot details unknown.
Adam song: Elliott (Adam Lambert) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will duet on A Great Big World’s “Rockstar”. Gleek Out Brazil confirms that this is NOT the Nickelback "Rockstar" but the A Great Big World song.
