Has anyone reselling a Las Vegas VIP ticket they bought directly from The Joint (not from online ticket seller) asked if they would put another name on one of the tickets? They will mail the VIP tickets if asked to do so, but they discourage it.

I was wondering are the resale sites the ones you call scalpers?
I saw on twitter yesterday three sites (tickettweet.com, clickticks.com and ticketdown.com) that had hundreds of tickets to Mohegan Sun, a concert that is marked 'not many left' on ticketmaster. It seemed that the prices were not sky high except for a small amount of tickets. But going up, right? And they had tickets to all blocks and levels.
It looks like customers have no possibility of knowing how much more than the original price they are paying. That should be illegal. I think the venues should issue a chart map with price categories marked right from the start. It would help also in deciding what tickets you go after in the first place, to participate in presales or wait etc. I know they don't want to divulge all info but at least some would help. Just like more info in presales would be beneficial to the buyers, to know where the allotted seats are before trying to get them (if the interactive charts are not used).
This secondary market makes it impossible to know how 'sold out' the venue actually is. I think everybody wants people in the seats, don't they? Well, I just have to console myself that the organizers get their money anyway - and that lots of tickets on resale sites might mean that they believe they can sell them, so a small yay with no exclamation mark.

I'm probably looking for the impossible, but would like to buy one ticket for the July 1 show in San Jose, in the front rows in section 2. So if anyone has such a wondrous thing, and would like to sell it, please let me know. thanks so much.
