I understand all the discussion and posts about A3 or possible Queen & Adam Lambert album here on Atop. Anyway, I really don't like to read those lines about "A3 failure". I'm excited for Adam's new album. And I'm sure I WON'T be disappointed. And I hope Adam still has a lot of fans - passionate fans. And they will appreciate his new album. Here in the CR we don't hear Adam on radio too often (not to mention TV). Yet he has fans here and as I've found out a lot people here know his music (though only the singles) and they like it! No, I don't want to talk about how succesful or not will be the new album (I'm sort of superstitious to do it ). But I don't want to think about it as 'possible tanked album' even if only hypothetically. Sorry. ( I usually don't join discusses here because I know my English is not too good for it. If I expressed myself weird or said something wrong, I apologize - I didn't mean to insult or offend anybody. Just had to share my thoughts.) Your thoughts happen to be my thoughts as well, and you expressed them perfectly.

Grandduchess, I know nothing about the Forum. However, I certainly understand wanting to avoid the drive from LA to LV and back. Octagon (formerly prism) and I are considering flying LA to LV. There are some budget carriers that fly that route. The Joint describes the Queen + AL shows as "seated." If you look at their seated concert floor plan there is only a small area marked GA, and it is in the back, not up by the stage. Check out the floor plan before you decide whether this GA is what you want. Also, since there apparently is no pre-sale for the Las Vegas shows, and it seems we'll have to get tickets in the general sale, I don't know how easy it will be to be picky about location. Tickets could go pretty fast since the venue is smallish. peace&love One memorial day the 4 to 5 drive took DH and I 16 long frustrating hours. I'm still traumatized. Here is the answer I received when asking about VIP GA: On Saturday, March 8, 2014 1:59 PM, JointVIP Tickets <jointvip@hrhvegas.com> wrote: Jim, these shows will be reserved seating, we do not have any VIP GA Kevin

talon, I just wanted to respond to a couple of your points...but did not want to copy the long post.
I had a bit of concern about US Arenas before I saw the list. They are staying in Queen country, and have the harder to sell US arenas later in the tour. The only Pacific Northwest show is Vancouver BC so no return to mostly empty arenas in Seattle or Portland.
I have been talking to people at Live Nation (the primary promoter), looking at the Queen and Adam fan clubs, talking to AMEX Platinum concierge and to venue VIP reps.....they all are reporting very high interest in this tour. The Glamberts are making a lot of noise everywhere, but the Queen fans are somewhat more quietly making plans.
These shows will not sell out overnight (except for Las Vegas which is a small venue) but I think these tickets will sell very well. And if the reviews out of Chicago are good to great (which I believe they will be), then they will be in great shape.
>> I am assuming that Chicago is like iHR Vegas with more production and more smoke and pyro.
Adam and Queen have separate fan bases with little overlap -- although many passionate Adam fans are now Queen fans. Depending on the market, and very simplistically, Adam is good for 5,000 to 10,000 tickets, so Queen fans and casual fans just have to fill the rest. I honestly do not see one tough-sell venue on that list.
I think the combination of Queen + Adam in the US is worth more in terms of ticket sales than either separately. It really is an event, and the music is very, very popular here. And the promotion seems to be getting great reviews.

In the current market, the hardest one may be the last one. It is hard to sell recorded music in 2014. Adam wants to be a mainstream pop star. He wants to break through on US CHR radio completely. I think he has a good shot this time. But the planets need to align for that to happen. I had to log in just for this. Do you really think he still wants this? I'm just guessing myself, but I wonder if all these "side by side projects" are really what he wants and being a "pop star" is a means to that end. He seems more centered on what he wants and who he is more today than ever. If his music lands on top 40 radio, all the better it'll keep the stream of offers going. Yes, he does seem more directed and focused than ever. And yes, he mentioned getting his music on radio in 2 interviews in November 2013. Maybe someone has these, they are on video, and he was asked about his new album, specifically mentioned talking to a couple of labels and big producers about it and then mentioned radio. It was clearly high on his list. >> JMHO I wish he would just make great music and forget about Top 40 Radio. But it is his life, his music, and whatever he want is OK with me. I will buy almost anything he sings. (Well I did not buy "The Happening". )
