I understand all the discussion and posts about A3 or possible Queen & Adam Lambert album here on Atop. Anyway, I really don't like to read those lines about "A3 failure". I'm excited for Adam's new album. And I'm sure I WON'T be disappointed. And I hope Adam still has a lot of fans - passionate fans. And they will appreciate his new album. Here in the CR we don't hear Adam on radio too often (not to mention TV). Yet he has fans here and as I've found out a lot people here know his music (though only the singles) and they like it! No, I don't want to talk about how succesful or not will be the new album (I'm sort of superstitious to do it ). But I don't want to think about it as 'possible tanked album' even if only hypothetically. Sorry. ( I usually don't join discusses here because I know my English is not too good for it. If I expressed myself weird or said something wrong, I apologize - I didn't mean to insult or offend anybody. Just had to share my thoughts.) There is nothing wrong with speculating about what Adam might do if A3 is not a commercial success. 99% of albums fail so it is not something that could not happen. I do not this it is going to happen, and IF it did happen, Adam will be fine. He is lucky that he is a broadly talented artist who has many possible paths... He can front Queen. He can tour as a headliner. He can and has had successful albums. He can headline a Boardway show. Many major Vegas venues would pay him a fortune to be an artist in residence. He can do TV and has proven he can act. And he can sell recorded music. In the current market, the hardest one may be the last one. It is hard to sell recorded music in 2014. Adam wants to be a mainstream pop star. He wants to break through on US CHR radio completely. I think he has a good shot this time. But the planets need to align for that to happen.

Wow, I feel thoroughly defragmented, Talon:) I won't quote you because it's a long post, and I feel like replying to just one point:
You said, 'in order to be an artist, sometimes you have to do the commercial thing or you won't be able to get your art out to people.'
True. The reason I think this is just one of many cases where the standard rules don't apply to Adam is because he is a) involved in more than one artistic field, successfully, i.e. he is multi-talented, b)a public figure receiving awards for his LGBTQ rights involvement, c) widely recognized for his amazing talent in both professional and general audience circles, d) has a strong and ridiculously devoted fan base, e) not a quitter, f) very interesting to the media and loved by the media, g) has a good managing team and now, hopefully, a good label. There's probably more:))) But the point is, he has many eggs in many different baskets.

Aplologies if this has been answered but just got back from a month speaking on cruise ships & am stressing, like many fans, about the upcoming ticket purchases. I hadn't renewed my AdamOfficial membership as there seemed no point. I can still log into the site but I don't see anywhere where I can renew and pay for a current membership so as to get the Code tomorrow morning. I leave for work in an hour and won't be home until late so hoping very much to get this taken care of before then.
I'm looking at the 2 Texas shows, BTW, because will be on a ship in Europe for my local Vancouver one :(

I think he has a good shot this time. But the planets need to align for that to happen. I had to log in just for this. Do you really think he still wants this? I'm just guessing myself, but I wonder if all these "side by side projects" are really what he wants and being a "pop star" is a means to that end. He seems more centered on what he wants and who he is more today than ever. If his music lands on top 40 radio, all the better it'll keep the stream of offers going.
