Honestly, I don't see Adam being good for 10K tickets at a US venue. That is a huge amount. Seriously...there's NO WAY Adam could sell out 5,000-10,000 seat US venue...if he could then why in the hell is he touring with Queen? No offense to Queen---they're great-awesome --iconic---but I think Adam would much rather be touring as Adam Lambert then Queen with Adam Lambert..... Doesn't make any sense-----there's no way Adam could sell that many tickets---if so, then he would had most definitely had a TP tour---if he could sell out a 10k venue then he wouldn't IMO need to tour with Queen. Adam has many fans who will go see him with Queen that wouldn't see him solo IMO. Some of that is because there is a fraction that prefer Rock Adam. There is the chance to see Adam in arenas with top notch musicians. There are only 16 shows. I see how Adam can bring in 5,000 tickets per venue with his hard core fans. I really think Adam will fill a few more seats from Idol fans that aren't necessarily Adam fans.

Adam has brought in 5K+ to venues and very recently, at that. Why is he not touring by himself? Because he is working on an album and at the moment has nothing "solo" to promote. The Queen team, I would imagine, is doing almost all the prep for this tour. So, not a lot of time that he would have to devote right now and certainly no monetary investment either. The Queen tour is great exposure not to mention great $$. This tour will gross, at a minimum, about 25 million! I say minimum because I didn't use any VIP prices for my math. And I am betting that the Ultimate VIP package will be around $500.

Aplologies if this has been answered but just got back from a month speaking on cruise ships & am stressing, like many fans, about the upcoming ticket purchases. I hadn't renewed my AdamOfficial membership as there seemed no point. I can still log into the site but I don't see anywhere where I can renew and pay for a current membership so as to get the Code tomorrow morning. I leave for work in an hour and won't be home until late so hoping very much to get this taken care of before then. I'm looking at the 2 Texas shows, BTW, because will be on a ship in Europe for my local Vancouver one :( Welcome back. Hope you had a great time.

For something like this would Adam be paid a set fee, considering the number of performances, or would he receive a percentage of the net. I know that the management groups probably negotiated all the particulars but I don't know how this works.

I get that he is working on his "solo" album and has nothing "solo" to promote but I was talking about "TP promotion" ?? where was TP promotion? If he could as Q3 said sell out 5-10K venues in the US why then wasn't Adam touring with TP? It really doesn't make any sense.....if Adam could sell out 5-10K venues on his own --he wouldn't need Queen Not hard to understand----

One of my fantasies is that Adam has a single to release in June that is something that would fit into the Queen set. He could sing that one song of his on the tour and while (hopefully) his label is pushing to radio. They will be visiting radio stations (albeit probably classic rock more than anything but you never know) and getting some exposure in local radio and newspapers while touring. Any bit of TV, print exposure helps when pushing a single I believe. And of course all of the people in the arenas that may not have ever heard Adam live would hear him on the Queen songs plus on his own music (even if just the one song) - bonus is top notch musicians to perform his single. A girl can dream right?
ETA: Still wondering what Adam worked on with Justin Hawkins of The Darkness last year.........a single perhaps????

In summer of 2011 my computer died and I didn't get another one til later that fall so I was without Adam news during that time. The first Adam news I saw was his new album "Beg for Mercy". I liked the beat of the song but thought...Adam said his voice would be front and center so why is that guitar overriding his vocals. Of course, I learned later why. I mention this because I was looking for Adam's first song to be more like BFM so needless to say, I was disappointed with BTIKM...not Adam's beautiful voice...but I thought it sounded dated and thought nooooo kids are not going to buy this. For those who think Adam should stay with the same sound, I say noooooooooooo again. Angelina reviewed Trespassing song by song including all the bonus tracks. I think she shows us why this beautiful, creative artist needs to continue to explore and create. This album was a success in that it touched other artist to again reach for more: Pharrell William, Nile Rogers, even Queen and who knows who else. You can see her review here: soundbath.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/adam-lamberts-trespassing-the-vocal-review/. I think Adam is a rare talent. He is not the mundane, lazy, rote, auto-tuned, uncreative artist of today. I will support him to my dying day...he is such a gift. So I say thank you to the Universe.

I know that the management groups probably negotiated all the particulars but I don't know how this works. A combination of fee and percentage of gross over a certain threshold is increasingly popular these days. No idea what A's deal is but could see a scenario where he is paid a moderate upfront lump sum fee and has an agreement to take a percentage of gross if it tour sells beyond a certain level. Depends on how risk averse Adam's management team are. The straight fee model is great for predictable income but the fee plus percentage can be much more lucrative - although to be fair this model seems to be more used in movies. For example Sandra Bullock earned 70 million from movie Gravity most of that in % of gross, if the movie had tanked it she could have only walked away with her fee (probably still reasonably hefty). Hope that all makes some sense.
