An Excellent Presale for Many Fans!!

This is a first from me – a presale on Adamtopia and almost everyone is happy . The first presale day is coming to a close and I have nothing but praise for how it was set up.

Yes, there were glitches, moments of stress and not everything worked according to plan. And yes, there are some speculators who are selling fan presale tickets on EBay and Stub Hub.

But for the most part, fans who wanted tickets got tickets. And they kept adding more tickets throughout the day and evening.

So KUDOS to all the folks involved in the Artist Presale. It turned out to be a mostly fair presale with fans ending up with tickets instead of all the tickets magically vanishing into who knows where.

Only one real complaint

There was only one common complaint which I saw and that was that some fans did not like the fact that all the “good seats” were bundled into VIP packs with stuff – t-shirt and posters that people do not want.

In looking at other major tours, I could not find any tour that did not have these bundles. I am not sure the promoters will fund an expensive tour like this without these lucrative upgrades which add $200+ to each ticket sale for best tickets.

And they did not attach the VIP Fan Packages to every good ticket, the back half of the floor or more in every venue I checked did not require the purchase of a VIP ticket. And many 100 level seats were sold without it. The first 5 rows, some or all of the front half of the floor and the lower part of the 100 level was bundled with the VIP Fan Packages by Live Nation’s VIP Nation. So, yes, the best tickets in most venues were bundled but it was not all the good or close seats.

Venues all over North America are reporting Queen + Adam Lambert is a HOT TICKET!

I have gotten some feedback from box office managers from several venues and this presale is really going well. Both Adam and Queen fans participated in the presale, but it appears that the combination is driving even more interest. Several mentioned that they expect that public sale on Friday and Saturday (varies by venue) will be very big.

How many tickets were sold in the presale?

Many venues still have presale tickets. So it is hard to tell how many were sold yet but we do know what was released for the 13 Ticketmaster concerts.


At least one venue has released far more than 20% of the tickets. Las Vegas appears to have released the highest percentage of tickets but it is also a small venue – only 4,000 seats, 2 shows. It appears to be close to sold out.


In the meantime, if you did not get tickets…

• Try again tomorrow check back. They keep putting out tickets.

• Just try periodically, do not search over and over because you may get banned from the ticket site.

• If you want tickets to a Canadian concerts, and have an American Express card, the Canadian concert Front Of The Line by American Express Presale starts tomorrow at 10:00AM local (venue) time.

• The Queen Facebook Presale starts on March 13, 2014 at 10:00AM local (venue) time.

• There are also other Presale opportunities – radio presales, LiveNation app presale and others. CHECK THE VENUE’S TICKET SITE.

And what is you have an extra ticket or two?

As long as you are willing to sell you ticket to a member for what you paid for it, you can post any for sale tickets in the Members Only section in the concert thread for the event.

A couple suggestions:

1. If you have a Ticketmaster ticket, you can transfer it on Ticketmaster.

2. If you purchased a VIP Fan Package, the merchandise will be shipped to the purchaser’s address. If you wish to give this to the buyer with the ticket, remember you will need to mail it.

Adam song: Elliott (Adam Lambert) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will duet on A Great Big World’s “Rockstar”. Gleek Out Brazil confirms that this is NOT the Nickelback "Rockstar" but the A Great Big World song.

June, 19, 2014: Queen + Adam Lambert North American Tour kicks off in Chicago, 19 dates!!

Soonish: Adam will release a new album. Expected sometime in 2014.
