This Max revelation of today, makes me wonder if Adam really DID want to work with him for Trespassing, but RCA nixed the whole thing for Dr Luke!! 
I remembered he said that he needed 5 songs like WWFM before he started Trespassing.. so my thinking he probably wanted to work with Max again for his 2nd album. So glad that this MM news has been picked up by a lot of media so RCA & Luke will see it..

I see some here are a bit reticent about Adam working with Max Martin and the style of music they will use. I could care less what "genre" it is, Max makes hits, and Adam needs a big hit. It could be a polka and I wouldn't care if it became a big hit. Adam got zero radio play from Trespassing (and I thought it was a great album). He doesn't need, nor do I think he can afford, to have that happen again. aha...the genre doesn't matter to me either....and it is quite obvious the "quality" makes no difference to radio or TP would've been played once they passed the first two singles...so, the old question of what it takes to get a hit still remains with the educated guess of the unfortunate answer: it's not a song but the label's push behind it.... From the MSG PC it seemed Adam was very happy with his work in Sweden, the story is unfolding nicely so far! I am very happy to see the mass flailing over MM, so I take it he is good in creating stuff label can successfully push to US radio and may be his name helps too.... I also agree A3 MUST succeed! I'm not exactly reticent; I'm actually happy that Adam is working with hit makers. I, too, want Adam to hit it big as this is his rightful place. WHATEVER IT TAKES. I am in awe of the progress he has made under the direction of DMG. It's all good! |
