I was wondering why MSG is held in such high esteem. It seems to be "the" place to be thrilled about a sold out audience. When did all that start? Is it because it's New York City? I just don't know the history about that venue. Anybody? I don't know about anything specifically, but its kinda like that old "New York New York" song. If I can {bump bump} make it there, I can make it {bump bump} ANYWHERE. It's up to you, New York, Neeeeeew Yooooork !!!!!!

Well, for one thing - I remember Adam in an interview a radio DJ backstage at MSG during what I think was a "Jingle Ball"-type of event in 2009. It may have been after the AMA thing, because Adam was not invited to perform, but he did announce a few acts. Kris Allen was one of the performers at this event. And I remember Adam watching Kris on a TV monitor backstage. And while Adam was gracious and happy for Kris, you could sense a certain wistfulness and longing that he wanted to be out there performing too. I guess there must be something for entertainers that if you get to perform at MSG, then you've truly "arrived".
So, now here's Adam soon to perform to a sold-out audience at MSG. This must be a dream come true for him - and I'm so very happy for him.

Well, it’s happened, America!! Rolling Stone is reporting that American Idol runner-up and favorite person to drink on-camera martinis with, Adam Lambert, has announced that he is going to be replacing the late Freddie Mercury as the lead singer of Queen. What on earth happened to Michelle Collins? Its like she completely disappeared. I know she walked away from VH-1's "Best Week Ever" in 2012 to work on the Kathy Griffin show. But, after that show folded last year, she went "poof!". She was funny as hell and a really stalwart Adam supporter. Miss her. |

It's all Hoppers' fault... I googled Michelle, and it looks like she's tweeting one-liners on a regular basis, but don't know if she's doing anything else. But I did find a Vh1 site that had her "Top 37" posts. I scanned and they are hilarious. Bookmarked it for when I need a big laugh. Last I heard Michelle was hooked up with Vanity Fair... but not sure she's still doing that.
