I think the negative spin comes from the way other Idol's responded, like Allison and Matt. Kris' remarks are really neutral. I don't see anything negative, but I don't see any support there either. We also don't know what else Kris might have said that the article's writer did not put in print. Or if he even gave Kris a chance to say anything else that was positive rather than neutral. We all know how the press can twist things up to come out sounding the way they want. I don't know how Allison & Matt responded, so I can't comment on that. There is video. We know everything Kris said...so do 300 members of the press. He said it at the Z100 Jingle Ball press conference. And ADAM WAS THERE!! **

Kris commented about the AMAs multiple times in 2009. The most famous comments are from the Dec 11 Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. The was a huge press event and everyone involved in the show was interviewed.
in Adam's Q&A with the press he was were upbeat and complimentary or Kris. This was on Dec 11, the AMA performance was on Nov 22. Adam discussed it was a performance in many interviews many, many times before this press event. Since I have a totally uncontrollable knee jerk reaction to any negative mention of AMA, I am going to say my "traditional" bit yet again (sorry, folks, like I said - I can't control myself ;-|): AMA performance was brilliant! It propelled Adam onto the international arena with that one glorious kiss! Without it we would've been nowhere close to where we are now world wise - IMO! Not to mention the US media reaction was an embarrassment to the media and not to Adam, which is becoming more obvious with every month passing...the world is changing!ok...I am done...until the AMA discussion raises it's eternal head yet again  |

Adamme asked about Nationalglampoon and Teddybear yesterday.
As far as I know, they are both alive and well, physically speaking. Teddy is fanboying hard over JT and remains oddly unresponsive to my ministrations to stalk Adam in Stockholm - I'm thinking about changing my tactics.
Glampoon is writing music, playing music and generally being a cutie pie:)
They are both killing me with spot on gifs on twitter, I'm thinking of getting Seoulmate to play my wingwoman, I hate losing:)

I LURVE the instagram photo Adam just posted....it's been my desktop since I first saw it. oh...and I enjoyed the "closed" conversation while it lasted - particularly the sanctimonious flouncing.  (I lost any goodwill towards OLFIP after the AMA's) |

I think Darren Criss was pretty clear that he and Adam have a scene. But looks like we get a Kurt-Elliot scene too! Or maybe the same scene is Kurt, Blaine and Elliott. There are very few Adam performances that are that out of tune I remember Eber saying it was the roughest Adam performance he had seen. I have always thought the fall was the catalyst for everything that happened after. If not for the kiss the AMA's would have been remembered as the performance Adam fell and had bad vocals. The whole incident was the perfect set up for WWFM |

Am going to look into Lykke Li, have been hearing about her. Dl'd A Night at the Opera last night, great to listen to it. Thanks talon, Q3, budersnookie and others for the rec. I don't see anything in what Kris is quoted as saying in this link as being a put-down or negative comment about Adam. Although I think the article's writer is trying to put a negative spin on it. But everything Kris says is true and Adam would be the first to admit it. The AMA performance is much more like the Adam we have all seen in the Zodaic and other pre-Idol performance videos. And we have seen alot of the OTT sexual performances during the GNT. Idol has to tone things down for the family prime-time time slot. Thus we did not see all of the real Adam on Idol. ITA, I didn't take what Kris said as a put down to Adam, he just saw it as Adam being Adam, nothing more. I also think Kris is very talented, yet I do not agree that he won on Idol. I haven't heard anyone mention that when they called Kris' name as the winner, he said to Adam "It should have been you" or something close to that. I noticed that they never replayed that again on Idol, but I know what I heard. Did anyone else notice that? Anyway, I hope Kris and Adam are still friends and I know they are supportive of each other's careers. |
