Look in 2009 if Adam came out and did Wwfm or a Ballad. He would of gotten lost in the headlines, with Gaga smashing whisky bottles as just the nice kid from idol, and thats who he ever well be. He needed to make a statement as not an idol alumi but as an artist, it may have been very bold haha, but it allowed him to break away from the idol kid image, and allowed him the freedom to be Adam Lambert. Tbh tho the Ama performance aint no different to his Wll performance on idol, in that performance he was pelvic thrusting, being procative etc. Difference is most of it was edited out, i remember Adam saying "Maybe h. Did something people just werent ready for".

So their was signs even then he had that kinda of energy about his performances. Imo Amas gave him international attention, and tbh Adam started developing on that energy on theidols tour, the audience gave him the impression this is what they wanted. So i think when Parents tuned in with their kids, it had bn 3-4 months since idol finalie, and they were expecting an idol performance. And when they diddnt, they felt ripped off. "Oh kids no thats not really Adam Lambert he never wore six foot boots, and black what is this, damn thats right it was danney gokey we liked not that evil Adam Lambert".

This wasent Adams fault, but the ptb and tbh the parents themselfs. Its not up to artists, actors, networks etc. To decide what is appropriate for their kids, they give you a product, and with the parental ratings. They have all the information to make the best and informed decision for your kids. And when Gaga is smashing whiskey bottles, regardless of what Adam Lambert did was unforseen, thats irregardless to the real issue.

That should tell them this isint the nickleodean teen choice awards, this was Adams first big performance, his statement to the music industry and public of what kinda artist he was gonn. Be. Be the idol guy singing ballads, or truley define yourself, he choose the latter. You could argue this was the catalyst for his downfall in the states, he hasent really performed on a major award show since other then the Emas.

So it was polarizing, but what he did was bring him international attention, if he diddnt do what he did he would just be another david cook. So in the long run i think hes not going to be like taylor swift, katy perry etc big in Usa first. Lambert well be an international star before he breaks america, its gonna happen, its not if it happens its when. Anyone else would of folded under the pressure, its a testimant to Lamberts strength and perseverance that hes developed into an international star over the next five years. Adam to me has always posessed the potential to change the face of music in this generation, but i still think theirs some within the industry who still dont get Lambert, altho i think thats fading. The world doesent need another Buble, Blunt, Grobin etc. Tbh the music world really needs Adam Lambert.
