Regarding Kris Allen, what he said after the AMAs was something along the line of "that's Adam". In the beginning, Kris was not very articulate in interviews. He's gotten much better. I think what he was saying about Adam's performance was that there's a lot more to Adam than what we saw on Idol. And of course that has proven to be true. Kris lived with him for months, he knew the real Adam. I am a fan of Kris', I think he's extremely talented. I've been to several of his concerts and they have all been excellent. He has a beautiful voice and a sexy stage presence, two things that most people don't know about, or refuse to see and hear. His voice is not as powerful as Adam's, but then who does have a voice like Adam. Nobody! Kris is a many layered sneaky little devil, TBH. There is much more to Kris than meets the lazy eye. He writes all or most of his songs, and then gets co-writers to help smooth them out. The ideas for all his songs come from him. And many of those songs are deep and gorgeous. He and his family are about to move to Nashville, so yes he's ambitious in case you didn't think so. And no he doesn't want to turn into a country singer. He and Adam are still friends, and I believe one of the many reasons they do not talk very much about each other in public is because of the extreme dislike some of Adam's fans have for Kris. It's hurtful to both of them. I was devastated when Adam lost. He's my guy. But Kris played some brilliant moves at the end of Idol and then won. It took me a little while to get over it, but I got over it. There, I said my peace.

Huh? What Kris Allen comment? And please know, am not an apologist for him at all. You mean this? www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,20327046,00.html Thanks for all the links to Swedish music. Am going to look into Lykke Li, have been hearing about her. Dl'd A Night at the Opera last night, great to listen to it. Thanks talon, Q3, budersnookie and others for the rec. I don't see anything in what Kris is quoted as saying in this link as being a put-down or negative comment about Adam. Although I think the article's writer is trying to put a negative spin on it. But everything Kris says is true and Adam would be the first to admit it. The AMA performance is much more like the Adam we have all seen in the Zodaic and other pre-Idol performance videos. And we have seen alot of the OTT sexual performances during the GNT. Idol has to tone things down for the family prime-time time slot. Thus we did not see all of the real Adam on Idol.

I am so pleased that Adam was on GLEE. And I am also pleased that he is too busy to do any more show!Looks like will may get a song and a Kurt-Elliott scene in the next episode. Hope Elliott leave to be a superstar. (So life can imitate art!) BB is BUSY WITH AWESOME HUGE IMPORTANT PROJECTS!!!! and as a side benefit - I don't have to watch Glee any more!!! I found the show to be unbearable in every way possible sans Adam's moments of course...

I think the negative spin comes from the way other Idol's responded, like Allison and Matt. Kris' remarks are really neutral. I don't see anything negative, but I don't see any support there either.

Why the hell are we revisiting a five year old comment by NAL? Did Adam get a one page article in RS mag with Queen or did Kris? I would love to celebrate Adam. No? I will be back, when this is over. And by the way, what Adam did at the AMAs was one side of Adam, of course one performance is never 'the whole person', just one bit. But those that thought that Adam was like this needed a wake-up call, that Adam was not just a cute little boy whose cheeks you want to pinch. There may have been gentler ways to provide that wake-up and more commericially opportune times for it, than right when the album came out, but eventually, things would have shaken out. KAs comment had zero impact on Adam's image, because by Nov 2009, KA had already zero impact. Well, maybe he had an impact on the Glamberts, but sure not on the rest of the world. And he still doesn't. ===================== Based on yesterday's very insightful presentation of quotes from RS magazine about Queen, it looks like, this is the most friendly article that has appeared about Queen in quite a while.....this is positive press. And the change in tone is probably more a reflection of cultural changes overall, than anything that Queen did at this late stage in their band's career. Wonder how B&R are feeling, reading these positive word baths, after all the bad press they used to get. Their music gets played more now, than it did 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago, they are selling out arenas, they find their music used in commercials (retail, i.e. Target, car commercials, etc) and they have new music to release (soonish). And Adam will get his time too, where he is understood and accepted for who he is, even when it is a tad controversial for some. He will get his time in history too. I am so happy for him for all that is happening to him, even already now. Time to celebrate....i'll be back, when it is not about KA anymore, here.
