Today I had lunch with my DD and GD(14). We were talking about our trip to CT to see Queen + Adam Lambert when my GD casually said, "they're not really Queen, you know, not without their singer". I went  . I didn't even know she knew who Queen is much less Freddie. She loves their music and listens to it on Pandora. She also loves the Beatles. She really caught me off guard, I admit I was dumbfounded and was not really prepared to respond. I didn't even ask her where she got the notion they're not Queen, she had to have heard it somewhere. My DD didn't hesitate..."Of course they're Queen and they have a singer...Adam Lambert." By the way, chapf, your Glee song smilies are AWESOME!!!!My own DS said the same "this is not Queen" thing back in 2011 when I was flailing after the EMAs...he was still a teenager then..  I was hoping to get him to go to the MSG thinking he is more mature now, but he flatly refused...Good thing my DD agreed, although she couldn't get any of her friends to go, so she is stuck going with me  |
