Cassie, how high is his high note? As Adam once responded to a question about how high can he sing: "Pretty high." Actually it is a G#/Ab5. Not the highest he can sing, but still waaaay up there. At the top of a mezzo soprano's range high. And he nailed it. Yum. One nice thing about Adam is that he does not just hit notes to hit them. I really dislike when vocalists do this -- like Xtina. ** ETA: If I was a singer I would not want to duet with Adam!! |

aww, that was adorable. And once again I'm struck by the contrast between Adams many-layered & full of colour voice and Chris colfer's sweet but thin and plasticky voice. Especially when they both sing "I was born to be a rock star" because one of them so clearly was not. (I don't hate Chris Colfer. I think he's a sassy little cutie, and a great actor. But his singing voice is just not to my taste.)
I think this has been shown over and over again in all Glee songs that Adam was in, especially on the rock songs such as Barracuda and I Believe A Thing Called Love. You can tell which one's a rocker and which one's not. Also the IBATCL video, I really paid attention the different between Adam and Chris .. Chris' posture most of the time in the video's very awkward and sometimes a bit stiff, .. yes he's still that sassy little cutie.. but come on.. he's singing a rock song.. while Adam's really in his element.
Now I can understand why Justin Hawkins wouldn't let his song on Glee if Adam was not the one who will sing the song.
