Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't think this song needed those high notes at the end. Adam already gave it great dynamics. But what do I know...! Still really nice, and prefer it to the original (talented band but they sound so nasally) Eta: what nannygoat said above, vid will prob be great. I don't like the Gloria song, but vid made me like it. I love the high notes at the end! Very Adam. Anyway, with Glee things always make more sense in context with the show performance. You can always tell who Ryan Murphy likes on Glee because they get the best treatment in the songs and Glee has treated Adam very well. From MTN to Rockstar seems like a mini journey.

There's no doubt that Ryan Murphy really likes Adam. He has been treated and featured well during his 5 show run. Time permitting I can see an appearance again next season. Also, I noticed that AHS's new season is called "Freak Show". Doubt if Adam would have time, etc. but would love a cameo on one of those episodes.....our Adam considers himself a "Freak of Nature"...and seems to have loved The Coven episodes. Just thowing it out to the universe.

Not crazy about the song but his voice is STUNNING! And I love the high notes at the end. He does it because he CAN - and it's appropriate. Since his one solo MTN was so popular I'm surprised he didn't get one more solo to ride off into the sunset. But I'll be happy with what we got - his run on Glee was spectacular.

Never ceases to amaze me how Adam's voice can turn any song into INCREDIBLE! The high notes at the end are EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what I am picturing. Elliott decides to go off to LA to record music. Maybe he already even has a contract! This song is a goodbye song with Kurt. And within this song, is when we see Kurt & Elliott in leather and studs (pics Adam IGed day of filming.) BTW, pretty sure Adam is NOT in Don't Sleep in the Subway

Does "Rockstar" sound a bit familiar to you but you can't quite place the song. My resident music expert informs me that it is an homage to "Video Killed the Radio Star". Parts of the melody and the hook/riff are taken form VKTRS. And the lryics about "banging the drum" is a reference to the electronic drum in VKTRS. Take a listen.... Thanks for posting, was looking for that. Lyrically, it feels like a reconciliation song between Rachel and Kurt. So is that Adam at the end there, or on one of the verses. Slinking away since I can't recognize it right away...

Kevin sounds great -- Lea is just too "staey" sounding to me.
