ILHSFM. So pleased to see him state this. I have always thought that this backhanded "compliment" was an insult. Can you imagine someone saying, "It's so sad that she is black"? "It's so sad that they are Jewish"? "It's so sad that she's a woman"? It reminds me of people saying, "Some of my best friends are ______________" (Jewish, black, gay, etc).
Yay for Adam calling out such ignorant, hurtful statements.
