April Fool jokes can be questionable. This one I think is a bit cruel, as it takes someones feelings/problems and makes them appear real when the situation may be completely different but still sensitive. I don't tell April Fool jokes, not because I am cruel, but because people completely believe them! and then I feel bad for them.

Why is it a tasteless joke? I thought it was clever, whoever did it. Not very good in terms of rhyme or meter, but.... 'Cause while its PROBABLY an April Fool's joke, it didn't actually come out on April 1st, and so can be construed as being real. Was it April 1st in Singapore? Still don't really understand. Aren't the best April Fool's jokes supposed to be convincing? Supposed to fool people into thinking they are real? The longer they are believed, the more successful. Oh, well. I never understood practical jokes or this "holiday" anyway. |

The lyrics were pretty terrible -- so I am glad it was a joke. But we have about 36 more hours of bogus news. I recommend reading everything with a grain of salt. Since I wrote the April Fool's Joke Adam article that ended up pick up as real news by MTV, People, Newsweek, Time and dozens of other websites (thanks to the Twitter chatter about it), I really will not throw rocks -- but at least mine was on the OTT wonderful side. (I had no idea it would be taken as real news. It was on a fan forum and labeled April 1, 2010.) And lasted for 9 hours of fun before Adam killed it.  NEVER MAKING THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!! And yes, there will be an April Fools' news page here tomorrow. So consider yourself warned. |
